Azure and Amber turn up at the meeting point with scuba gear and night vision glasses.

The night is dark when Shoro arrives near the shore. It is unlit and Stands almost invisible in the darkness. Upon seeing the twins approach he says the darkness, "So Random hastold you about this mission?"

Amber grins almost unseen in the dark, their faces blacked up with blotched stripes to darken and break up outline. "Nope, I'm just having a swim for the exercise."

Shoro chuckles softly, "Yeah..me too. Is your boss coming?"

Random Factor surfaces near the trio and swims over to them. "You didn't really think I was gonna let you do this without me, didja?"

Amber says, "I've no idea. He's my boss. I go where he says, not the other way around. I'd guess he'll come if he can get away from the HQ."

Azure says, "Yeah, I guess he'll be here. Hi boss."

Random Factor grins and winks. "In this case, what HQ doesn't know won't hurt them."

Shoro sighs and shakes his head,.."I suppose not Random..What're friends for eh?..So this is a black op?"

Random Factor nods. "My transponder is functioning if they really NEED me, but yeah."

Azure says, "Mission objective to get in, look around, and get out without them ever knowing we were there?"

Shoro nods, "That was my objective, it remains the same Random?"

Amber says, "Okay then, I'm ready. You're going to try and teleport us inside the force bubble, Shoro?"

Random Factor nods in agreement. "I don't thinkwe have the muscle for anything else."

Random Factor says, "Here." He hands Shoro a SGG communicator. "You may need this.""

Azure says, "Have you ever seen me defeated by anything, boss. But having more along will keep incidental damage down from a quicker takeout."

Random Factor says, "We try to keep radio silence though, Just in case. And yeah, I'm sure we COULD win, but it would endanger too many innocents, especially since we don't know where or how they are being kept."

Shoro nods and takes it. "I wont use it unless I have to." he says puts the rebreather in his mouth and dives in. He swims strongly and quietly under the water, until he reaches the bubble..he waits until the others are near and then motions that he will try to port across...if successful he ports back over to help the twins.

The twins swim alongside Shoro beneath the water and wait for Shoro to test his ability to teleport himself, and them into the force bubble.

Random Factor fades inti insubstantiality and swims towards the barrier.

Shoro ports back and grabs the hand of one of the twins, nods and ports over, doing it again for the other twin.

The swim to the island is dark and quiet. Eventually, the heroes land on the shores of Monkey Island in silence. Under the night skies you can see golden glow that seems to originate from the location of the main monkey settlement.

Shoro points to the glow and starts to move stealthily turning on his electron cloak.

Random Factor nods and fades into invisibility before proceeding.

Azure and Amber move silently forward and to the sides, scouting the immediate area of the beachhead, activating the night vision glasses and listening carefully. They check for security systems as a matter of course.

Shoro continues moving forward seeing no threat on the beach.

The heroes marches forward across the beach in silence, soon reaching to the brush beyond. As you continue, the brush transforms into jungle. The trail towards the lights follows an uphill grade. The crest of a small hill offers a better view of what lies ahead...

Azure hangs back at the crestline to cover the rear sector while Amber drops prone to avoid skylining herself when she peeks over.

Shoro shoro creeps up the crest as well, looking over it at the top with just his head up to his eyes above the crestline.

Random Factor approaches low and slow, to avoid tell-tale shadows.

In the thick forest ahead, you can make out the silhouettes of the tree-top homes of the main monkey settlement on the island. Beyond that is the source of the lights -- a midnight construction project of sorts. A golden tower rises eight stories in the air, spines and scaffolding raising even highter into the air. From here's its difficuly to make out the detail of the structure. An egg-shaped walker vehicles seems to be pressed into service as a construction crane.

Shoro pulls his camera out of his armor the armor swims to reveal its location he puts the light intensifier on and starts to take pictures which are instantly relayed to his PDA.

Shoro whispers so low as to almost be inaudible. "Are they constructing more of those..we need to take a closer look..and where are all the monkeys?

Random Factor whispers back. "That tower must be the transmitter they were talking about building. The monkey we brought back said others were forced to assemble it."

Amber nods.

Shoro points to the top of the structure.."There..theres a human at the top, I think he's welding.

Out at the construction site, a lone figure floats into the air with out any visible means of propulsion.

Random Factor, still speaking covertly, rasps "What I'm more intrested in finding out is if they have all the material they need yet. That will give us some indication of how much time we have left. Look for a humanoid in a yellow uniform."

Shoro points to the floating armored figure.."like that?"

Random Factor says, "I'd say that fits the description."

Shoro takes another picture and sinks below the crestline turning off the electron cloak.

Amber stays on the crestline observing. Azure is back a little and able to communicate with Shoro is needed.

The Promothean lifts a finger to point at something on the ground, down beneath the line of your vision. Raising his hand, the obejct of his gesture becomes visible. The body of one of the metal walker robots. The egg twists at it's equator and comes apart into two piece. The Promethean seems to have his attention focused on it.

Azure whispers quietly, "Shoro, Boss, I think you ought to take a look at what's happening now over by the tower."

Shoro nods to Azure turns his electron cloak back on after taking a breather and slips back up above the crest line. He watches this orchestration take place..and whispers.."Have you seen anything like it?"

Amber shakes her head silently and points out the egg shape in halves.

Random Factor this is all new to me, but you're right. It deserves a closer look.

The inner workings of the egg are disassembled by unseen hands into a set of parts, each no larger than a television. The Promothean seems to guide teh pieces to the top of the structure, where a group of monkeys take them and begin to add them to the tower structure.

Random Factor, still invisible, slinks closer to get a better view.

Shoro looks to the twins..points below to state he will join RF.

With electron cloak still on he moves as quietly as he can to join RF.

Amber nods, points to her eyes and holds up six fingers.

Azure and Amber stay in place on the crest and just behind it, watching for trouble and holding as a reserve should it be required while the people with invisibility capability move closer.

Shoro can't see RF..but hopes he can see the gutted remains of the spacecraft..

Shoro tries to sneaksneaksneak to the spacecraft..and to the 3 eggs that have been broken down for scrap.

Random Factor tries to get a head count to see if all the SG personell are accounted for, and an idea of how many monkeys are here working.

On the ground, by the site, monkeys work in silence, hauling tools and spare parts. The organization of the operation is somewhat reminiscent of an ant colony. All in all, there seem to be more than a hundred creatures at work here, even in the middle of the night.

Random Factor tries to identify one of the SG personell working away from the others, or to catch one as they walk back and forth, again, out of earshot of the others even if only temporarily.

Shoro tries to stay out of the light as much as possible as he continues to take pictures of everything. He then returns to the crest and tells the twins, "I have no Idea where Random is.." he says quiety.

"Good." whispers Amber. "Hopefully niether do the robots."

One of the SG workers is over by a stack of supply crate, working with a duo of monkeys to break open the box. It's Starguard issued rations, judging by the labels along the side. The only other visible SG worker is in the tower, working with a welder.

Random Factor tries to get a closer look, to see if the workers look clear-eyed or as if they are drugged or otherwise controlled.

Shoro turns off the electron cloak again breathing hard, and nods, "lets hope not.."

Random Factor sighs inwardly and makes his way back, not wanting to risk the safety of the others.

Shoro tells the twins, "The eggs and the spacecraft have all been dismantled..it looks like they are integrating the technology into the tower..my question is this...if all their techonlogy is going into the tower, does that mean they plan to make this place their home?"

Amber says quietly, "They may be able to take the Boss. I doubt if they could take him quietly enough we wouldn't know about it."

Azure says, "Shoro, how much has RF told you of what these robots are planning to do?"

Shoro blinks and immediately his electron cloak goes back on..he says softly.."Orb..active and circling the camp.."

Shoro says quickly .."Bits and pieces.." and stands up ready to fight, run..or well..mostly run."

Random Factor reaches the others and hisses beneath his breath "Sentry orb".

Amber says, "I'm heading for deeper cover while that orb passes by. If you can't keep the cloaking up I suggest you do the same."

The twins move to the bole of a large tree and scoop out dirt from between roots to create a depression into which they crouch, spreading the dirt and undergrowth around and over them to break up any thermal image.

The globe continues it's orbit of the camp site, coming within forty meters of the groups of heroes. It flies about, uninterrupted and soon heads back into the jungle.

Shoro waits until its gone and hisses .."Its getting hot in here..we better head back."

Random Factor mutters "I couldn't have said it better myself."

Azure and Amber emerge, "...15 ...16 ...17 I make it about an hour to orbit the site. There may be another but if that's the only sentry there's about an hour window between passes. Okay, we heading back to evaluate?"

Random Factor fades back into solid and nods. "I don't think there's much else we can accomplish here now."

Shoro nods.."Have we achieved any kind of tactical knowledge?"

Shoro slips the camera into his costume which seems to simply absorb it. "I have already sent all of film to your address, encrypted of course, Random."

Azure nods, "If Promo is dismantling the lesser robots he must be getting very close to finishing the transmitter assembly. I'd say we learned there isn't a lot of time to play with. I'd also question just how much good the Guild is doing Earth, but that's an issue for another day."

Random Factor says, "I'd SAY they're not close to activation. I only saw two humans at work, which indicates to me they're still working shifts. If they were close to completion they'd be using their entire workforce. Unless there are only 2 humans left alive."

Shoro shakes his head, "That would not be good...there are hundreds of monkeys at work though..how many is that compared to the population?"..he pauses.."Perhasp thats a conversation for a later point, lets get out of here.."

Random Factor smiles grimly at Azure. "You may be right. But Shoro has a point. We should discuss this elsewhere."

Amber says, "Don't like to disagree, Boss, but those lesser robots are part of the guarding force, right? Was it me in charge I wouldn't disassemble any guards until the last moment I could delay it to."

Azure starts moving back towards the beach scouting the retreat path.
