Update
Our intended policy, when we eventually get all the files sorted out and up to date, is to have them available from three sources. The definitive versions will be on the website. These will be downloadable copies in PDF format. Second copies, ideally the same versions as on the website will be held on the Wiki so discussion and debate can occur. The files will also be held online on the Mush but as those are the least convenient to update that version may not be fully up to date.
Since our website is a skeleton at this time, and not even a walking skeleton, now we have a more or less stable version of the house rules ready I'm posting them here first in preference to waiting an unknown period for the wensite to be ready.

The Text Files : An introduction
The text files for our Mush describe the theme, the house rules, and the commands on this Mush that are additional to the standard PennMush commands to be found on every PennMush based Mush. These files are organized into three collections, accessed at this time by Events, News, and +Help. The introductory page for each collection can by seen by simply typing the matching word into your Mush client. Specific files in the collections are access by typing the collection name followed by the page title, for instance News HR Balance.
By placing a copy of these files, and the proposed new rules files for using 5th edition, on the Wiki we can invite every player to contribute in making the updated files masterpieces of prose: clear, concise, and informative.
Events
The Events files will be renamed to 'Theme' after updating. Our theme is remaining the same but these files need to be expanded and decisions made during gameplay incorporated into them. Renaming the collection to Theme makes it clearer what these files are about.

As everyone already knows by now we are changing a lot of code and moving to a new style of character sheet. The +Help files on the Mush have become out of date in many cases. They need updating and rewriting.

These have been compiled into a PDF and hosted on another discussion page. Please see the Update notice at the top of this page.
Editing Notes and guidelines
Everyone is welcome to correct typos and improve the prose. Please do not change the actual information content in the Rules files. Comments are welcome however - placed outside the pre and /pre tags.
Please keep pre and /pre tags around the edited content so we can see what the result will look like on the Mush. Remember the worse case situation we have to allow for is telnet with about 20 lines of 80 col text and no scrollback. The content ought to be usuable in those conditions. If you think something is missing entirely just add a new content block enclosed in tags.
