A large, distinguished-looking red brick building set on a spacious well-manicured plot which also features a hedge maze decorated with free-standing statues. The museum's interior is both cavernous and visually stunning. Viewed as a whole the gathered works form a dazzling kaleidoscope of visual stimuli too complex and discordant to be processed all at once. It is only by taking each piece individually, moving through the columned expanses of the display area to encounter each of the gallery's treasures on its own terms, that one can truly appreciate the tremendous significance of the collection in its entirety.

All of the great masters are represented here in some way, and many of the pieces on display would be worthy of even the most venerable institutions. it is however, the diverse but extensive collection of alien objets d'art that sets the museum very much apart from its contemporaries, attracting students and critics from across the globe.
