Colonial Heights
From Champions MUSH
Topographically, socially, and economically this district represents the summit of Colonial Bay. Ancient trees spread their boughs over the sedate avenues and boulevards of this suburb, protecting them from both the elements and prying eyes. Here ostentation is completely superfluous, the residents prizing privacy and exclusivity above all else. As a result the opulent estates, mansions, and townhouses are for the most part set well back from the roads they abut, sheltered behind wrought iron fences, tall, carefully manicured hedges and glowering phalanxes of remarkably uniform trees. It remains apparent however that even the least magnificent of these colonial-style buildings seamlessly blends grand vision and exquisite craftsmanship with impeccable good taste. The most recent large-scale construction seems to be the townhouses clustered around the base of the hill, but rather than intruders they seem more like a bastion, a wall of reserve, decorum and security, utterly impervious to the strident clamour of corporate modernity that has claimed the rest of the city.
