Earth-1102 is one of the many worlds to have intersected Colonial Bay in the dimensional rift events of 2057. The rift was unusual in that it occurred simultaneous with and adjacent to the rift to Earth-1103.

This world's equivalent of Colonial Bay is Jackson Bay, in the People's Democratic Republic of Liberia. Liberia is engaged with hostile exchanges with the United States of America across Chesapeake Bay. Other known countries are British North America to the north of the United States and Mexico to the south of Liberia.

Though the country calls itself the Last Bastion of Liberty, there is certainly racial distrust between the largely black population of Liberia and the largely while population of the United States, and indeed the term "Yankee" tends to be emplyed indiscriminately and derogatorily to white people.

Captain Liberia appears to be a leading superhero in Jackson Bay. He is superstrong and hard to hurt, and can fly and fire energy blasts from his fists. He also appears to be a man of great integrity as well as a symbol to his people.
