This is some sort of underground laboratory, with stone masonry walls and high, vaulted ceilings. Overall the room looks like something from an old Universal Pictures black and white monster movie. There are tanks of chemicals, computers, chemistry work stations, an examination table.
Quentin is hit by the examination table with all the force of a speeding car. He's slammed backwards into the stone wall. He's unconscious, hurt badly and bleeding.
Lorelei snarls at the Black King, "If you've killed him - you soon won't /want/ to live any longer!"
The Black King looks of confidence falters for a moment as he reacts to Lorelei's threat. He stands flat-footed, looking at her and perhaps wondering if his last move was a mistake.
The Black King recovers his bearing and turns towards Guardian. He closes his hand into a fist and he waits...
Kibin swings again and swipes at the sword with his sickle claws, attempting to disable that as well.
Kibin slices through the sword and breaks that as well. He roars at the Queen, "Stand down, you have no weapons or allies!"
The Black Queen says, "I don't need a sword to deal with you!" She reaches for Kibin and tries to grab him by the neck.
The Queen closes her fingers around Kibin's neck. "I've gotcha now!" she says. She spins and slams Kibin into the ground, hard, as she tightens her grip.
Guardian says, "stands and looks over at the Black King with disgust. "Hurting Lorelei's father is mean and unnecessary." Bending a little she grabs the Rook that tumbled down the stairs after her leap at it and throws it with force at the Black King."
The flying robot slams into the Black King, knocking him backwards and slamming him against a lab workstation. Despite how frail his body appears, he shakes off the effects easily, and he tries to snap up to his feet.
Black King tries to get up quickly, but it takes him a moment to toss aside the wreckage of the destroyed Rook.
Jolt figures Guardian and Lorelei are doing a good job with the Black King since she hasn't heard any other calls for help therefore she is going to to assume things are under control and blast the hell out of the Black Queen. Focusing enough electrical energy as she flings another sphere of pure electrical energy at the Queen
The Queen is knocked onto her side by the ball of lightning. Her armor seems to be better shields than the other chess pieces, but she seems slowed by the blast. She maintains her death grip on Kibin, however.
Lorelei takes advantage of the moment's respite and backs away from the Black King, being sure to lead his attention away from her father; he gives the King her best stunning pose, praying it will indeed be enough to stun....
The Black King winces slightly under the force of Lorelei's pose. Then he smiles, and his confidence has returned, it seems. "Child, I'm wise to your tricks. I've been hunting fae since before you were born!"
Guardian says, "Guardians have been hunting down and dealing with evil such as you represent for over fifteen thousand years. You will meet your nemesis this day."
Kibin coughs as he hits the ground, twisting and trying to slip out of the Queen's grasp with all of his strength.
The Queen maintains her hold.
With a blast from her thrusters, the Queen hops back to her feet. She eyes Jolt and then she tries to hurl Kibin right at her. "Let's see how your friend likes getting shocked!"
Now freed from the wreckage, the Black King looks Guardian. "Fifteen thousand years, you say? Perhaps, once this battle is over, I'll keep you around for study." He closely the distance between them easily, and tries to hit her with a bare-fisted punch.
Jolt flies to the side to avoid Kibin, knowing full well that hitting the ground isnt going to be pretty but then hitting herself probably would be an uglier alternative "Lady why don't you just give it up now? You're not gonna win"
Guardian takes the punch and looks at the Black King disdainfully, "Is that the best you've got?"
Kibin slams into the tree and slides down to the ground, but quickly jumps up and gets back on his feet. He takes a breather first, before going back towards the Queen.
Guardian stands when she was just punched without moving back a step and punches back at the Black King.
The King easily sidesteps the attack. He smiles as he spots an opportunity to counterattack.
Lorelei is glad Guardian can take it, because she's sure she can't. Still, she seemed to have some slight effect on the King, so she goes for another stunning pose.
The Queen flies into the castle, disappearing into one of the halls off of main entrance.
The Black King ducks beneath Guardian's punch, slips inside her reach, and tries to slam her with an uppercut to the chin.
Guardian stands in place completely unmoved by the punch.
Jolt flies towards the castle this time trailing the Queen incase she's heading to help the King which she wouldnt doubt. Starting to generate a field of electrical energy around her as she prepare to blast the next enemy that she sees.
The Queen is in some sort of trophy room, where she's grabbed a sword from a display case.
Jolt wastes no time in taking the opportunity to blast the hell out of the Queen one more time. Launching a sphere of electricity much larger than normal as she opens fire on the queen. She's gonna make sure she feels this one.
Kibin runs inside the castle after his breather, closing in behind Jolt.
Lorelei looks past the Black King to a spot he can't see and smiles as if in relief. "About time guys - I wondered when you'd finally teleport in!
The Black King takes a moment to glance behind him.
In the trophy room, the Queen floats over to a full suit of armor. She lifts it easily and hurls it at Jolt.
Guardian looks where Lorelei is glancing too, distracted by her comment.
Jolt's magnetic field deflects bits of the flying suit of armor; the helmet flies off, as does a piece of the leg. The trunk of the suit slams into her.
Guardian is distracted for a moment by Lorelei's comment. However after the instant of hesitation she's still facing off with the Black King and in range to throw another punch.
WHAM! The Black King impacts into the far wall of the room with force that shakes the foundation and causes bits of dirt and mortar to rain from the ceiling.
Lorelei, back in the Black King's line of sight now he's across the room, strikes another stunning pose.
The Black King vaults back to his feet. He touches his hand to his nose, and his fingertips come away wet with blood. He glares at Guardian before he leaps right for her.
Lorelei thinks . o O (Is he just not worried about me? Or worried about killing me the wrong way?)
Guardian is infused with the power of an Earth elemental. Standing on solid ground she can hardly be moved. But the sheer force of the impact is sufficient to stun even her.
The King staggers backwards from the titanic collision. He's not stunned, but he holds one arm wrapped around his side to protect his ribs.
Kibin runs past Jolt and towards the Queen, swinging his tail and attempting to hit the Queen back with his tail.
The Queen slams into the wall of the trophy room. She seems sluggish and almost out on her feet.
Kibin leaps after the Queen, trying to clamp down tightly on her arm and make her an easier target for Jolt.
With Kibin dragging on her arm, she struggles to her feet and reaches for her newly acquired sword with her off hand. She tries to stab Kibin.
The Black King continues to hold his side with one arm. With the other, he tries to backhand Guardian with his free hand.
The Black King's blow touches nothing but air.
Jolt takes the opportunity the Queen gives when stabbing and throwing Kibin to reach out with her magnetic force and grab the Queen and hopefully throw her through a wall or something!
The Queen doesn't break through the wall, but the attack is still rather effective. She's still moving, though.
Lorelei strikes her stunning pose once again, though beginning to doubt it's having any effect at all.
The Black King grimaces, but seems mostly alright.

The Black King tries press his attack with a side kick to Guardian's stomach.
He misses by inches.
Jolt holds the Black Queen solidly as she smiles "You want to throw things and people around... Lady I can do that too" she then motions with her hand as she lifts the Queen up to the roof but not hitting it and then shoots her hand down throwing her into the floor, trying to smash her through the floor this time hopefully into the basement?
The Queen's armor absorbs most of the impact.
Kibin leaps up from his spot laying down on the ground. He's heavily wounded from being stabbed with the sword, but conscious enough to fight. He runs at the Black Queen, roaring and trying to stun her.
The Black Queen tries again to break free.
The Queen manages to fly from from Jolt's magnetic prison.
Guardian pulls her head aside from the Black King's punch and sends her own fist low and hard at his ribs.
The Black King grunts as Guardian hits him in his tender side. He rolls across the floor of the lab.
Lorelei spots something on a nearby lab bench which might be more effective and runs over to grab it. "You know, you really ought to keep your eye on those tricky fae!" she says, just before she lobs the beaker of (she's pretty sure) acid at his face.
The Black King shouts, "You witch!" as he tries to cover his eyes.
Kibin steps towards the Black Queen and spins around, trying to whack her with all of his strength.
The Queen topples from the air and lands onto the ground. This time, she does not get up.
"I promise you, fairy," the Black King says, "When I end you, it will be long and painful!" He feels around the room until he comes across a computer desk.
Jolt has the urge to blast the Queen one more time to make damn sure she stays down but she'll leave Kibin to make sure about that as she decides to go down to the basement to help out there.
Jolt opens fire almost immediately on the only unknown in sight that seems to be taking hostile actions. Firing a blast of electrical energy at him at full force "Reinforcements have arrived" she comments to the others in the basement.
"Reinforcement?" The King says, "I won't fall for the same trick twi--ARGH!" The lightning blast carries the King into the wall, he's smoking, and his skin is burned in spots from the attack. He still looks like he has some fight to him.
Kibin takes some more breaths after the queen is down, too tired to attack again.
Lorelei says, "Oh sorry. I won't trick you this time. The reinforcements are entirely imaginary."
Guardian leaps over to where the Black King has been thrown up against the wall and lashes out with a double handed punch to his chest.
Guardian beats the Black King into the wall of the basement. He spits to the side and growls. "Are you finished yet?"
Lorelei can't contribute to the fight while the King is blinded - but she does take the opportunity to check on her father.
Somehow Lorelei can hear the memory of her father teaching her first aid as she hurriedly binds his wounds.
The Black King gets up to his feet. He's blinking; his vision has cleared. He squints at Guardian and waits a moment.
Jolt doesnt hesitate anymore she's in full blaster mode, launching another sphere of electrical energy at the Black King. Good thing Kibin is resting and making sure the Queen dont get back up
"No! I've come too close to lose right now." the Black King says.
He stands and tries to muster his strength for one more attack.
Kibin grabs the unconscious form of the Black Queen, and moves downstairs towards the basement.
Kibin walks into the basement, and tosses the Black Queen at the Black King, glaring at him. More of an intimidating gesture than an attack, really. "Stand down, unless you want this to continue."
Guardian spots the tensing of the Black King's shoulders as he starts a haymaker of a punch. Knowing help has arrived and more is on its way she hurriedly dodges out of the way rather than risk being knocked unconscious in the last few moments of the fighting.
The Black King catches the Black Queen and sets her down softly. "I suppose it was too much to expect that the girl would stop you. Too impulsive."
Jolt looks at the King for a moment "She didnt stop us and neither will you. Now give it up"
Lorelei gets up again and says angrily to the Black King, "You're so callous about her too - your own granddaughter?! What sort of twisted lies did you have to tell her to get her involved in this? But she doesn't wait for an answer: she strikes another stunning pose.
The Black King says, "Hardly. I took her in as my own, and I taught her everything I know. When I'm gone, all of this will be hers."
Lorelei says, "That would be more generous if you weren't trying so hard not to go."
The Black King smiles. "I'm not ready to relinquish the kingdom yet. And takes to the Hades potion, I have the power to make sure that you won't stop me."
Kibin growls and runs towards the Black King, spinning around and hitting him with his tail.
Joseph enters from Universal TransMat.
Lorelei says, "Sounds like you're putting a lot of trust in Hades. I believe traditionally he's not too keen on those who cheat death."
Kibin's tail swipe knocks the Black King against the wall again, into the crater fromed by his last trip there.
Jolt doesnt wait much longer as Kibin starts attacking she is there blasting the Black King with another blast of electrical energy. Flinging the sphere at him
The Black King begins to smell of charred flesh, as Jolt's blasts burn at him. his eyes narrow and he tries to grab Guardian in a bear hug.

The Black King looks pleased with himself, after landing a solid blow. He says, "Only four of you? I think that you should have brought some... *cough* ...some help... *cough*" The Black King doubles over as a fit of coughing wracks his body.
Lorelei says, "Hades catching up with you?"
Jolt smiles at the Black King as she holds another sphere of electricity in her hand and looks at him "When you're as good as us you dont need any more help" she states confidantly as she unleashes yet another blast of electrical energy directly at the King
The King spasms and rolls on the floor as he's shocked with electricity. After the attack his lies still on the floor, moaning, until another fit coughing causes him to spit up blood.
Lorelei says, ""His potion must be wearing off! I don't know if he can take hits like that any more....""
Lorelei nevertheless goes for another stunning pose. He ought to be able to take that still.
The Black King fails to notice Lorelei's pose. It's possible that the King is in too pain to even register her presence.
Lorelei says, "We need to get dad to hospital - and this 'Black King' too, I suspect. Much though I hate to say it."
Kibin breathes heavily, not attacking the Black King. "Yeah..." he comments, looking over himself and his wounds.
The Black Queen stirs. "Grampa!" she shouts. She floats to her feet and tries to pick up the Black King.
Guardian pulls out her PDA to check for a singal. Then she stops for a moment, "Uh, where are we? Where should the paramedics come to?"
Lorelei gives Guardian the address.
Jolt stops attacking on Lorelei's advice although she remains alert and keeps an eye on the Queen, after all it looks like she isnt trying to start anything now.
Kibin goes ahead and tries to get some nearby cloth or something, and cover his wounds.
Guardian makes the call requesting emergency paramedics and police at the castle address.
The Queen carries the King to an open stretch of floor, next to where the the King's oxygen tank has ended up. She lays him flat and sets to putting the breathing mask over his face.
Lorelei says to the Queen, "Your father was a friend of my father, and I have no quarrel with you. Let's see if we can save my father and your grandfather, shall we?"
The Black Queen had her head on the King's chest trying to listen to his breathing. She raises her head clicks a button on her helmet. The helm folds back so that she can put her ear right to the old man's chest. She's so concerned with her father's condition, she doesn't respond to Lorelei immediately.
Emergency services personnel respond. They have a medivac helicopter en route.
Lorelei says, "We should get them up to the surface..."
Lorelei finds things around the lab to construct a makeshift stretcher.
Lorelei says, "For that matter, we should probably get out ourselves. I'm not sure how sound the castle is by this point."
Jolt nods some "Yeah... good idea" she admits to Lorelei, suitably sure that the Queen isnt interested in fighting anymore. Offers spotwelding service to any metal components Lorelei might need to ensure stay in place.
Lorelei edges her father onto the stretcher and asks for help carrying him up top wait for the ambulance.
The Black Queen smashes apart a a computer desk, turning it into a stretcher. She slides the Black King onto the desk top. She carries him above ground. She looks to Lorelei briefly before she ascends the stairs.
Guardian takes up the stretcher with Lorelei's father on it and carries it gently up to the top.
Kibin works with Lorelei to get her father upstairs, ignoring his wounds for now.
Jolt lets one of the others help and follows after everyone. Shaking her head slightly, now that theres no more fighting going on she seems to be a bit more calm and relaxed.
Lorelei thinks . o O (Why did he have to go and attack dad? Dad probably could have found an answer to all this!)
The Black Queen is already waiting outside with the King by the time the heroes make it topside. She looks over to Lorelei. "You.. you have to wake up your father... he was working on a cure!"
Lorelei says, "He was until your grandfather threw a table at him. Maybe he'll be able to finish the cure. But he'll need treatment first himself."
Guardian looks at the Black Queen in disbelief. "You what..?! Your grandfather should have thought about that before hurting Lorelei's father then."
Kibin asks the Black Queen, "Cure for what?"
The Black Queen glares at Lorelei angrily before he turns away from everyone and folds her arms.
Eventually, the helicopter arrives.
Lorelei isn't sure if even her father's good-will extend to trying to save a man who tried to kill him. But she says, "I'll do my very best." She turn on her New Blood communicator. "Jenn, are you there?"
Kibin briefly wonders if the hospital facilities here can even do anything with him.
Quentin and the Black King are tended to by parademics and airlifted to an area hospital.
