The firehouse is actually much larger than you think; it's a brownstone from the front, but as you go back it widens to hold three vehicles abreast: a hook-and-ladder, a pumper truck, and an ambulance. Near the front entrance there is a dispatcher's office, and along the side walls there are numerous lockers for emergency equipment, personal belongings, and a stairway going up to a second floor which may once have been a bunkhouse for the volunteers but is now reserved for special functions.

Over the past several days, a forest fire has burned in the woods near Afton Mountain, in the northern parts of Virginia. The fire has proven to be remarkably resilient, with firefighters from all over the area being called in to help out, including Colonial Bay's Bravest. It's under these circumstances that the heroes are called to the firehouse, to answer a request for help from the city's fire chief.

Necros shows up in costume wearing his gauntlets. He wasn't sure how much he can help but he'll do his best. "I'm here to help." He announces to the firemen.

Dragonfly hears about the call for assistance and requests a hall pass to leave class. Changing into Dragonfly she flies over to the firehouse tos see how she can help out.

X follows someone in. Not too sure how Sound can be used against fire but..."I'm here too." X smiles, using his computer voice.

Chief Jerry Shea is there, to greet the heroes. He's a gray haired caucasian man in his fifties, who's let himself go a little bit. He's stout and potbellied, and it's a little hard to imagine him ever being able to haul heavy gear up and down apartment staircases. He meets the heroes in the kitchen-slash-dining room on the second floor of the firehouse. "Thanks for coming down guys. Sit down, and I'll get started."

Necros takes a seat.

X walks over on all fours and takes a seat much like a cat or dog like he always does.

Dragonfly nods and smiles towards the other heroes. She perches on the top of a chair back to listion to the fire chief.

"The past couple of days, we've had guys up at Afton Mountain," the Chief says, "Fighting that witch of a fire up there. Yesterday, we lost contact with one of our fire companies..."

Necros continues to listen.

Dragonfly thinks . o O (Yesterday? Why did you wait this long to call us in?)

Dragonfly nods.

X nods and thinks to himself, then would come to some sort of conclusion and dimiss his thoughts.

"The smoke makes it real hard to see anything up there," Shea says, beginning to pace a little. "And the updrafts make it real hard to get our helicopter in there." He pauses before continuing: "We think they're up there, cut off by the flames. We need your help."

Necros says, "So what exactly does that entail? Getting through the fire and saving them?"

Dragonfly nods, "Of course I'll help."

X nods. "But how can we help? None of us how any powers to stop fires...I don't think we do anyway..." X says. "But I'll help with whatever I can."

Shea pulls down a map. "We know that they are in this area on the map, with fires here, here, and here around them." He points out the locations on the map. "You don't have to fight the fire. Just get in there, find them, and get them out."

Necros says, "I'll help.""

X nods. "Ok. Got it."

Shea provides the GPS coordinates for the fire company's last known location.

Dragonfly nods, looking at the map. Getting in there is no problem. But if it's thick with smoke seeing them is going to be difficult. Soundwave, your hearing might be a lot better than my sight. How are you at resisting fire?"

X hmms..."I have no idea..." X admits. "I'd rather not get my fur lit on fire though." X comments.

Dragonfly says, "Maybe if you were in a fire blanket and I carried you through the hot spots? How about you Necros?"

X answers, "That might work, but won't you be hurt then?"

Necros shurgs. "I can take some bullets, I'm not so sure if I can take fire..."

Shea says, "Of course, you can have access to any of the equipment we have here."

Necros says, "I'm more concerned about the CO2 Gas, but with air filters and tanks we should be fine."

Dragonfly says, "Oh, no, I'm immune to just about everything. Fire doesn't hurt me."

X looks at Dragonfly. "Awesome..." X comments.

Dragonfly says, "Shall I fly everyone to the area once you have what you need?"

X hmms.."I normally fly myself..." X says. "But hmm..."

Dragonfly says, "How long will it take you to fly there? I don't know how fast you can fly. You might be faster than me."

Necros nods to Dragonfly. "I'm ready, though be careful, I'm used to flying INSIDE of something.

Necros gulps as he gets ready to be flown out by the dragonfly, he's not sure if he's excited about this or scared.

X has no idea how fast he can go. "I have no idea how fast I can fly." X says, honestly he doesn't.

Dragonfly grows to full size so she can hold, and be held onto. "Don't grab my wings. That would be be a bad idea while we're flying. I'll stay slow enough there'll be not much air friction. About three or four hundred miles an hour.

Necros grabs Dragonfly's wrists and prepares to fly.

X blinks. "Ok, I know I don't go that fast." X comments. "Should I get on you too?"

Dragonfly nods to Soundwave, "Yes, until we get close. If you can hear something, Necros and I can go into the flames to check if it's the missing firemen."

Necros gulps, still not sure if the fire will hurt him...

Necros feels some wait on his back as a fireman equips hime with a gasmask an air filter and an emergancy tank.

X nods and climbs onto Dragonfly as well. X makes sure his own wings are protected...Not sure how going 300-400mph is going to effect him...But he doubts his wings would be in one piece at the end if he wasn't careful.

Shea says, "Good luck, heroes. Bring 'em back home."

Dragonfly cushions Soundwave in the bend of an arm to protect him from the worse of the air flow. Taking off she heads to the area where the firemen have gone missing, being careful to stay out of smoke and flames while she's carrying the other heroes.

X nods and speaks. "Hope we do!" X says, in his batty voice, using his synthsized voice.

X is going to TransMat RRP room TransMat RRP1.

The wood covered hills of Afton Mountain. Light smoke covers this entire area, making it hard to see. (-1 to PER checks) The summer heat combines with the smoke to make the area barely tolerable. It would be hard to imagine staying in this environment for very long.

From the air, it really is hard to see anything, as the smoke seems to blanket the hilly terrain. After about 15-20 minutes of flight, Dragonfly reaches the last known location of the fire crew.

Necros grips tightly to dragonfly, not wanting to hurt her but not wanting to fall.

Dragonfly hovers high above the area, "I can't see anything down there. Where do you think would be best to land?"

X switches to sonic vision and finds a spot to land. "I see a spot, maybe I should fly down there and you follow right behind." X says. Yay echolocation

Dragonfly nods and releases Soundwave from her protective hold, "Okay. I'll follow you."

X uncoils his wings and stretches them, flying down to a spot to land, slowly.

Earlier, Chief Shea pointed out a fire to south of this location on the map. It seems like the fire has crept northward and will overrun the position eventually. Anyone looking to survive would have had to move north, to escape the flames.

Dragonfly follows Soundwaves down to the landing point.

Dragonfly turns slowing, listening. "I think I can hear something north of us. Anyone else?"

Necros shakes his head and replies. "I can't hear a thing..."

X nods. "I don't hear anything either."

Dragonfly looks at Necros and Soundwave, "Shall we go check?"

Necros says, "Sure"

X would shrug if he wasn't flying. "Why not?"

Dragonfly starts flying in that direction, slowly so not to leave the other heroes behind, and also because with all the smoke she'd probably headbutt a tree if she went fast.

Necros follows.

X follows as well.

The chirping sound is from a locator device, used by firefighters to signal their locations in smoky conditions. It looks as though it was discarded in a bush.

Necros sighs. "It couldn't be that easy... Why is it never easy?"

Dragonfly says, "Looks like they may have come past here. Can either of you figure out how long ago this was left? Or see any sign which way they went?"

X sends a few echos around himself, trying to see if there's any signs of if the firemen were nearby or there was anything there to indicate where they went.

X's ears twitch. "I hear something else...It sounds similar." X comments. "Anyone else hear it?"

Necros says, "I hear something to the north!""

Dragonfly says, "Can't hear anything. To the north again? Lead off."

Necros begins walking towards where he heard the sound.

X nods. X flies in the direction he's hearing it.

Dragonfly follows

It's another locator device, seemingly discarded by the wayside. Sharp hearing detects a third locator, which leads to a fourth and a fifth. The trail seems to lead to the opening of a cave in the hills.

Dragonfly says, "They left a trail of breadcrumbs. So anyone looking would be able to follow them."

Necros says, "Brilliant!"

X nods. "Makes it easier for us." X comments.

Dragonfly says, "Have you got a torch with all that stuff, Necros? If it gets dark in there I'll be blind."

Necros reaches into the pack and produces a shoulder clip on flash light for himself. "I'll check if there's more." He reacehs into the bag again.

Necros produces 2 more flash lights.

Dragonfly nods and takes one. "Good thinking, bringing these."

X takes a flashlight and clips it to his legless leotard/bodysuit thing.

Necros says, "The Firefighters gave them to me, I didn't ask for anything."

X sends out echos into the cave to get a feel of how long it is...and to detect anything else that was inside. More then likely a few echos wouldn't return really. X exmines his wings before he forgets to do it just to ensure they were perfectly fine, seeing they don't look damaged, X flies off into the cave.

X goes over to the firemen and tries to remove the gags. "Is this the firemen?" X asks the other two.

Dragonfly follows Soundwaves, flashing her torch around the cave entrance as she looks for whatever can be found.

About 30m into the cave, the heroes find a bunch of men, tied up and gagged. It's the fire crew.

Necros looks around getting ready to fight. (Danger sense go!)

Necros says, "People don't gag themselves, get ready for a fight!""

Necros says, "... Well normal people don't."

X tries to ungag one of them to ask what happend. "What happend?" X asks them.

Dragonfly looks around nervously. She's feeling a bit claustrophobic as so much of the cave is unlit.

Necros looks rediculous as moves in strange ways, but at least he won't be surprised.

The firefighter coughs. "There's some super out here with fire powers, called Wildfire! He's the one who set the blaze. He caught us last night and forced us in here."

X's eyes go wide. (Oh dead god) X thinks to himself. X tries using a low powed sonic blast to cut the ropes. X sends echos into the cave again...looking for the creature that was mentioned...Half hoping not to find anything.

Dragonfly blinks in shock, "You mean the fire was set deliberatively? That disgusting."

Necros says, "Bigger problems, Wildfire might, you know... come back.""

Necros says, "Get these men untied and we'll try to flee." Necros tries to break the ropes with his strength. "Let's hurry."

X nods. "I'd say we get the firemen out of here first." X says, a clear tone of fear in his voice.

Dragonfly says, "I hope he does. He needs to be stopped."

"Worse than that," the fireman says. "He's been keeping it going. You didn't see him? He just left a couple of minutes ago."

Necros says, "Now we need to hurry!"

X nods and continues to try to break the ropes with his Sonic Blast.

Dragonfly says, "I'll go back to the entrance and keep a watch out."

Dragonfly heads out to the open air.

It's hard to miss Wildfire -- he's a dark figure wreathed in a raging sheath of fire. He appears out of the smoke before Wasp, about 6" from the cave entrance. He closes his right hand into a fist and his flames rise a little higher...

Dragonfly says, "Eek!"

All the firemen are free now.

X turns up at Dragonfly and calls. "You see something?"

Necros hears a shreek and turns towards the enterance and heads down it readying himself for combat.

X follows Necros by wing, arming his force field.

X flies toward the exit and exits the cave with his force field half power.

Dragonfly darts off to the side in erratic zigs and zags trying to avoid what she sure is a blast of fire heading her way.

Wildfire doesn't hesitate to attack. He points his hand at Dragonfly and releases a jet of fire at her.

Dragonfly darts away from the blast with the speed and acceleration of her namesake, the dragonfly.

The tongue of flame misses Dragonfly and licks at the side of the hill next to the cave opening.

Necros charges up and out of the cave ordering the firefighters to stay there and hide.

Dragonfly's kick sends Wildfire tumbling to the side, but he manages to tumble up to his feet.

Dragonfly yelps in surprise as her feet are hurt by the intensity of the flames around Wildfire.

X's right hand's sonic orb glows, then a full forced Sonic Blast comes from it.

X sent it at the monster fire thing.

X's blast strikes Wildfire in his upper chest and knocks him off-balance. He tumbles down the hill, travelling nearly 20 meters!

Wildfire lifts into the air, just enough to get his feet beneath him again. He takes a moment to adjust to his new surroundings before turning to his target: Dragonfly. He casts a ball of fire into Dragonfly's vicinity, and when it gets there, it explodes.

Dragonfly screams as her delicate wingbuds are seared and burnt by the explosion.

Necros begins to slow down but he's still trucking towards the villian. He's slightly miffed at the distance to get to his target.

Dragonfly flies away at high speed getting behind a large rock.

X flies closer to the big firey thing, creates a small sphere of energy, then sends it at the creature. On contact it'll expand and form a sphere around the creature that won't constrict it in anyway it, it will just make a really really really annoying noise that'd make pretty much anyone cringe.

Wlldfire doubles over, holding his ears. After the screech subsides, he decides on his next victim: X.

Wildfire floats forward towards X and unleashes a two-handed blast of fire.

X screeches as he's hit by the attack...then plummets to the ground...KO'd

Necros reaches down and grabs a rock, he does a crow step and throws the rock.

The rock misses, but it certainly grabs Wildfire's attention.

Dragonfly grits her teeth as a golden hue comes to the surface of her skin and healing takes place at a rapid rate.. but regenerating nerves protest painfully.

Dragonfly comes out from behind the covering rock flying at speed to Soundwave. Her skins is still a golden hue as she touches him.

X ughs. "That hurt..." X comments.

Dragonfly nods, "Tell me about it."

Necros says, "STOP THE CHIT CHAT!""

Wildfire sets down onto the ground and he shoots a burst of fire at Necros.

Necros side steps the bolt of fire, it was just barely missing her.

Necros grabs another rock then throws it at Wildfire. He tries to hit Wildfire with another crow step.

Wildfire says to Necros: "I think I have you slightly outgunned."

Necros grins "And I think you're about to be put out."

X eximines his wings and tries to fly, X is fine in the air. "Ok..." X says. X switches to Sonic Generation. X Roars using his sonic generation. X is going to try to intimate the creature with sound. X uses a very foreful voice using sonic Generation. "Wildfire, Surrender or be Destroyed." He roars as powerful as he can with his orbs. A little bat trying to sound really tough...Awesome. X stays below the treeline for now, X doesn't have his foecefield up

Sable races on foot up the fire trails to the blaze, waeving smoothly past fallen trees and smouldering debris and beyond into the thick of the conflagration. Her progress slows slight on entering the thick pall of smoke until her diminutive silhouette emerges like a shadow through the thick curtain of ash.

Dragonfly looks to Necros, nod when you're set up ready." she says, flying in a holding pattern.

Wildfire says to Necros: "I hope your health insurance is paid up. Next stop: the Burn Ward." He floats just above the ground and closes to within a few meters of Necros. At this range, he unleashes a torrent of fire.

Amy follows Sable on a hoverboard she picked up somewhere. The fire and the fall of the trees doesn't seem to concern her, though she coughs a bit at the smoke.

Sable's jaw drops fractionally as Necros is engulfed in a whithering gout of flame, the air shimmering visibly as incandescent sheets of heat pour across the black-clad hero.

Necros crosses his arms before the fire hits, it hurts like heck, but he still stands. "My turn!" He grins, the top part of his mask burned.

Dragonfly flies in behind Wildfire and swoops down to kick his feet out from beneath him dropping the villain to the ground in front of Necros is she succeeds.

Dragonfly misses Wildfire's feet. At least she also mkisses getting bunrt.

Necros reaches into his pack and pulls out a fire extinguisher. He pulls the pin and fires it at the burning man as he walks forward.

Sable regathers herself and closes her mouth a little as Necros is thankfully unharmed by the blast. "Note to self, don't get hit, that looks really painful."

Necros ducks and weaves forward then throws a right hook at the torso of the villian

X hmms and considers things...X arms himself with his force field 75, then flies 8" Closer to The guy, then unleashes Sonic Screech again. At least he shouldn't be OHKO'd this time...

Dragonfly is about to fly back for another attempt at truipping the villain when she realizes, first, he's flying, and something is tickling in the back of her mind that makes her delay.

Sable races forward, her footfalls kicking up small clouds of embers and ash as she tears toward the villain, trying to angle her approach to stay out of his peripheral vision. As she nears the target she balls her right hand into a tight fist and unleashes it in a viciously scything arc aimed for Wildfire's kidneys.

"Graarh!" Wildfire yells as he's hit from behind. He tumbled forward and lands on the ground on the incline of the hit. His movements look slowed, but he still seems determined to carry on the fight.

Sable gasps as the wave of heat washes over her, turning her face slightly to shield her expose skin from the scorching incandescence that surrounds her opponent. Even so her blow lands solidly, hurling the flame-wreathed villain arcing through the air, the flames around him fluttering.

Amy doesn't know what's going on when she turns up on the scene, but it seems pretty obvious what to do. "Hi guys, is this guy starting the fire?" Without waiting for a reply she hops off the hoverboard to steady herself shoots some bad-luck motes at the fire-guy. "You shouldn't start forest fires you know."

Wildfire floats up to his feet again and begins to re-evaluate his options.

Necros leaps towards his fow and throws another jab, ducking and weaving after he lands. This time it's a left hook, but thankfully Necros is as skilled with his left hand as he is with his right.

"You're tough, I'll give you that." Wildfire says. "No chance you can stand another one of those, though." And with that, he unleashed an inferno o Necros.

Necros grins as the monster taunts him and takes the blast for it's fface value. His mask burns off around one ear, "That all you got?" his body is not as good looking in terms of burns

Dragonfly finds the momentary delay has given her a second wind. Flying in she aims a powerful kick into Wildfire's flank as she flies past and out a further 30 meters.

Dragonfly kicks hard into the side of Wildfire and sends him flying. She hardly notices the result, she's too busy biting back a yelp as her feet burn in the flames surrounding the villain.

Wildfire's flames go out. He's a masked villain in a black bodysuit with flames on the gloves and boots.

Necros says, "Well that was impressive..." he looks at Dragonfly. "Nice...""

Dragonfly says, "Ouch. My feet. Ouch.."

Amy tries to give the surrounding vegetations some good luck, hoping it will help it resist the fires....

Dragonfly flies back but doesn't land. She stays in the air not putting weight on her feet. "Thanks for distracting him. I couldn't have taken any more of those explosions."

Sable moves quickly forward. "You, the tall guy, make sure our fiery friend has no more surprises. Soundwave, can you get me a location on those firefighters?"

Amy says, "So this guy was starting the fire? How come?"

Necros pulls a fire extinguisher out of the back the firemen gave him and points the spray nozzle at the fallen foe.

X flies over to Dragonfly. "Nice job!" X comments. "And sure. They're in a cave not far from here." X says, X flies up and points at the cave. "Over there." X calls.

Sable nods to Dragonfly. "Awesome hit, do you think you can get an aerial view of the fire and coordinate with the fire crews on where to position their units?" She turns to Amy. "Can you use your communicator pin to get through to someone from Stronghold so that we can get this guy somewhere safe?"

Amy looks up. "I wish I could make it rain. BUt usually it stops raining when I'm about...." She looks sad. "I wish Hydraulique was still alive."

Sable starts moving in the direction Soundwave indicated. "Once we have the fire-crew safe and the fire under control we can talk a bit more, you guyes were awesome."

Dragonfly says, "Soundwave, you look a bit dinged up. Would you like me to try and heal you?"

Amy follows Sable, trying to save the trees as she goes.

Sable and Amy reach the firefighters hidden in the cave. They are tensed up, not knowing who to expect when the heroes come back. They relax, though, when they see that it's not Wildfire. "Boy are you two a sight for sore eyes."

Amy says, "Hi, are you ok?"

Sable smiles and nods. "Are you guys alright? Any injuries? Can you all walk?"

There are eight of them. They nod. One man says, "The sooner, the better. The fire is headed this way."

Amy says, "Oh no!"

X puts his force wall around wildfire fourth power for good measure, X goes down to talk to necros and Dragonfly. "I seen something up there...2 lines are on the ground, semmetrical. They don't look like anything natural." X comments. "Not sure what they are though. They're over the next ridge." X explains.

Dragonfly flies into the cave, "Anyone hurt? Oh, who thought up that chain of locators? That was really clever. We followed the beeps to get here."

Sable says, "Ok, then let's get moving, the arsonist is down. Everyone stay close, we're going to head back to join up with the others. The ones who actually beat up the fire guy.""

Another firefighter says, "That was Ken. Usually, he's a real moron, but hey even a broken clock is right twice." Another man says, "This area is shut down -- we need to get out of here. But with Wildfire out of the way, we should be able to contain the fire."

Amy says, "That's good!"

Amy says, "Which way do you want to go then?"

Amy figures the firefighters probably know best.

Sable says, "First we need to link back up with Soundwave and the big guy, then plot a course out."

Necros is still hovering over Wildfire...

"Out of here." one of the guys says. "Did you guys fly in? Can we hitch a ride?"

X sighs as Necros doesn't respond. X decides to fly in that direction and try to find out what it is...

Dragonfly says, "I flew some of us in. I don't know what transport the rest might have here."

In the distance, X can see the sleak and streamlined design of some sort of aircraft. It doesn't look like any sort of craft typically seen in the skies. It begins to move, and without any sort of visible thrust, the vehicle begins to rise into the air. As it ascends, it shimmers and begins to disappear from sight. However, the hole it makes as it rises through the smoke is evident.

Amy says, "Can you fly them out? That way looks best...."

Amy points.

X quickly flies back to the cave to tell the others what he just saw. When he gets there he explains to them what he just saw.

Necros is left in the dark as he still hovers over Wildefire, ready to hit him in the face if he tries to get up or make any sudden movements.

Dragonfly nods to Amy and starts flying the firement out to a area were other firefighters are.

One of the fire fighters tells Amy. "I'm not sure which way is best, but if we're flying I think your direction should work."

Another firefighter responds to X. "You know... Wildfire.. he said something about keeping us from going over the ridge. We didn't know why -- figured he was doing something over there that he didn't want us to find."

X nods. "I have no idea what it was, but it was some type of strange aircraft...I wonder..." X trails off...

Ken says, "I thought it was some kind of illegal plants. Sometimes, the kids grow stuff like that out here."

Amy says, "Maybe it's Wildfire's plane?"

Sable says, "Ok, Soundwave and Dragonfly, can you take these guys back to rejoin their crews?"

X sighs. "I won't be able to carry more then one person." X says. "I'm made for flying by myself not flying with others."

Amy says, "Yeah, he can lift me but I'm only little!"

X adds, "Carrying others while flying rather."

Meanwhile, the now-invisible aircraft flies off.

Sable says, "So while Dragonfly is flying them out the rest of us can investigate that ridgeline."

Amy says, "Uh-huh!"

X nods. "And with Necros making sure Wildfire doesn't try anything funny..." X says. "Well, he's staying around him anyway..." X drops the force wall around Wildfire.

Amy says, "We could bring Wildfire with us?"

Sable says, "And dragonfly will need Soundwave to help her navigate through the smoke and catch up with the rest of us. We can bring Wildfire along, just check he isn't close to waking up."

Amy retrieves the hoverboard so she can make better speed.

Sable says, "Does that sound good to everyone?"

Amy says, "uh-huh!"

X nods. "Ok." X says, he was looking forward to investigating the ridge...oh well. (Navigation/Getting fire fighters out first first I guess) X thinks.

Necros slings Wildefire over his shoulder, keeping an eye out for if he reignites.

There's not much left to be seen over the ridge by the time the heroes get there, but it is clear from the imprints in the dirt, crushed bushes, and busted tree limbs: something large and heavy was parked here.

Sable heads off with Amy and Necros, trudging through the forest. When they arrive at the imprints she bends to examine them and starts making some rough measurement before examining the area more broadly. "Why would anyone want to come here?"

Necros says, "Maybe they had some majorly illegal plants up here and just did a massive harvest and what we witnessed was slash and burn..."

Amy says, "Hey! It's gone...."

X stays behind with Dragonfly to navigate through the smoke. Echolocation is very useful.

Sable looks around the area. "They are, but why come here in the first place?"

Dragonfly cheats. She finds a car on the first trip out and carries it back. The rest of the firemen get to cram into the car, and sheltered from the windrush, get flow out at a much greater speed.

Necros says, "It's remote, probably not a lot of snoopers around here."

Amy shrugs, looking about. "I don't know!

Sable says, "But so is Alaska, and why would they need protection from interlopers?"

X rides in the car as well once they were out of the smoke. Sooner or later DragonFly and himself fly through the smoke and to the ridge, X using his echolocation to guide the two. "Were back." X announces.

Amy looks about for any sign of what the aircraft was doing here.

Necros thinks. "Maybe this is something that shouldn't be used on humans or maybe it's a major drug operation and this was big buck here.

Sable's head shakes. "Doesn't look like a lot of foot traffic. One set seems to be Wildfire, and maybe one other person."

Necros says, "Then I don't know what's going on..."

X shakes his head. "I have none either."

Sable says, "Well maybe when Wildfire is questioned we'll get a better idea. We should get him somewhere safer than here."

Amy says, "UH-huh! SOmewhere there's nothing to burn!"

X thinks...(Where would there be nothing to burn?)

X aks, "Is there anywhere you know that's made of all metal?"

Necros grins. "I knwo where there's nothing left to burn!"

Necros says, "Right in the middle of the fire ring."

Sable moves over to a patch of clear ground and frowns down at some impressions left there. "Wierdness."

Necros says, "As the fire burns outwards it depletes the fuel behind itself, leaving a large area of chard blackness."

Amy says, "Huh?"

Necros says, "There would be no fire there for there would be nothing for it to burn."

Amy goes over to look atwhat Sable's looking at.

X asks, "What's the ring of fire?"

Sable says, "Apart from Wildfire there are a wierd set of tracks, sort of like a boot but a wierd boot.""

Necros points to the wild fire(not the meta). "It can't keep the fire in the middle burning so there would be nothing left after a fet feet, we'd get singed but not much else."

Amy says, "Weird how?"

Necros goes over to look at what sable is looking at.

Sable says, "Well the tracks are two-toed, and whatever it was walked naturally on its toes, like a minotaur I guess"

Sable's head tilts. "And maybe it was wearing boots shaped to its feet."

Necros says, "hmm... that is weird.""

Sable's lips purse. "We need to come back with a real tracker and some ground-penetrating radar

Amy says, "So it's a minotaur that wears boots?"

Sable says, "Perhaps minotaur-like"

Sable says, "Then again, it could be someone on wierd stilts"

Sable's shoulders lift in a small shrug. "What do I know?"

Amy says, "Oh!"

Sable says, "Anyway, lets get our friend here back to town and then moved on to Stronghold."

Amy says, "Uh-huh!"

Sable turns to Necros and Dragonfly and offers them both a smiling nod. "I guess introductions are long overdue, I'm Sable, and you guys are awesomely tough."

Necros bows his head. "I am Necros."

Sable says, "A pleasure to meet you Necros, you were taking thos blasts head on and any one of them would have charred me to a cinder."

Necros smiles. "I am most resistant to most things."

Sable says, "Handy ability, I wish I were that tough."

Amy says, "He helped me get my powers back too!"

Necros nods. "That I did."

Amy says, "And to rescue my friends!"
