Jennifer looks up, "Hi. Grab a coffee and come on back. There's an operation going down you might be interested in."

Variable nods. "Lorelei told me. She's was going to be here too, but something came up,"

Kibin comes into the coffeeshop, yawning. He gets some coffee before going over to where Jennifer is, waving to her and taking a seat.

Joseph waves to Variable as she comes in

Jennifer looks over to Joseph, "Joseph, that friend of yours that helps out. Do you think you could contact him?

Joseph looks over at Jennifer and smiles. "Certainly. I will go and see if he is available." He puts away his notebook and takes a battered old PDA out fo his messnger bag. "I get better reception with this outdoors. Back in a moment. With luck." He heads outside.

Joseph leaves corner table.

Joseph leaves Past Time's Coffee Shop and enters Bridgend.

Joseph has left.

Jennifer says, "Let's give Joseph's friend a minute. Does everyone have a drink?"

Variable shakes her head. "I was about to get some tea, if there's time."

Kibin shows his coffee, sipping his mocha coffee through a straw. Mmm.

Lightray enters from Bridgend.

Lightray comes into the coffee shop. He glacns around then makes his way to Jennifer's table. In a nearly accentless English, he murmurs to her. "I was told you were looking for me, Ms. Markham?"

Jennifer nods. "Yes. Thanks for coming. Kibin, have you received copies of the contents of Smiling Johnny's datachip?"

Kibin nods at Jennifer. "Yeah, I did, and read through it already."

Lightray quirks an eyebrow. "Smiling Johnny?"

Jennifer nods. "Great. I have the info here for Variable and Lightray to read.

Jennifer turns her laptop so Variable and Lightray can see the screen:

The shipment is due in the middle of the day at the Farm. The farm is a landing strip in rural Virginia that's disguised as a small farm. There's a barn that doubles as an aircraft hangar, and a farmhouse where the people live. The plan is as follows. A small private plane containing the shipment will land at the farm and park in the barn. Workers will split up the drugs and pack them into vehicles that will take it to various destinations. At the farm there are a dozen workers, and a dozen armed guards. The workers at the farm won't be told the heroes are coming, mainly because Johnny expects that there may be a leak of some sort in the organization. Johnny thinks that Radium will probably attack after the plane lands and is safely in the barn.

Jennifer says, "Smiling Johnny is a Triad Boss in Chinatown. One of the top guys in the organisation,"

Lightray smiles slightly. "So, why are we helping a Triad boss protect his drugs from Radium? I am assuming Radium is an individual or group of some sort?"

Kibin replies to Lightray, "A meta, who accidentally burned down a restaurant in Chinatown, and nearly blew it up."

Variable says, "So this is to catch Radium, right? We don't want to be obvious until Radium turns up?"

Jennifer says, "You may have seen there was a fire in Chinatown yesterday. The fire was at one of Smiling Johnny's businesses The fire was caused by a Chinese meta named Radium attacking the business. Because Radium is interferring with Johnny's business he wants her taken out of the picture. Since she is careless about who gets hurt so do I."

Jennifer says, "There's some data of Radium. It's on the next page."

Lightray nods slightly. "And do we get to dewtroy the druge tht Smiling Johnny is bringing in as a bonus?" He sounds mildly curious. HE then turns his attention to the information on Radium.

Johnny Tseng has managed to gather some of the information from the prison that Radium was locked away in. Essentially, she's a living fission reactor, capable of producing great amounts of light, heat, and radiation. She can radiate energy from her body, or project it in destructive blasts. The outfit that she wears consists of plates of a silver-indium-cadmium alloy which she uses to moderate her power levels through a device mounted on her belt (OIF). In her new form, Radium doesn't need to eat, sleep, breathe. She's immune to the effects of pressure, heat, cold, radiation, poison, and disease. While in captivity, she was held submerged in a tank of water with boric acid added, which seemed to lower her power levels and keep her dormant. Johnny doesn't have any real information about what Radium did to earn her stay in the prison.

Kibin says, "Yes, we do get to shut down the barn, as well as confiscate the drugs, capture Radium and any gang members with her, and arrest the people working at the barn."

Jennifer says, "She was able to blast a hole through a vault style door so consider her to be dangerous. She has a gang of gunmen too."

Lightray nods after he scans the information. "Good. Do we know why Radium is targeting Smiling Johnny Tseng?"

Kibin hmmmms. "I think."

Jennifer listens to Kibin.

Kibin comments, "We could let Radium and the guards fight before we come on the scene, to weaken both of them..."

Variable says, "Darn, guns too. That makes things harder."

Jennifer shakes her head, "Tempting, Kibin. But I'm not too keen on seeing dead guards laying around afterwards because we stood back and waited."

Lightray shakes his head. "Criminals they may be, but letting them be killed or maimed by a radiation using villian is not something I am comformtable with I am afraid." He glances over at Jennifer. "Have you fought her, Jennifer?"

Kibin adds, "I was going to get to that... however, then we have to fight a couple of dozen armed guards as well as Radium, simutanously."

Variable says, "Maybe not simultaneously. WHy would they fire at us while we're fighting Radium?"

Jennifer says, "Never met her, Lightray. We can deduce certain abilities from the report. Blinding flashes, some form of heat or radiation aura, and of course energy projection."

Lightray murmurs, "Flight?"

Kibin says, "Theoretically destroying or damaging her belt should prevent her from using her powers.... or make her unable to control her powers, and thus resulting in a disaster."

Jennifer nods to Variable. "I was going to come to that. I see our objectives as taking down Radium and capturing the drugs. The gunmen on both sides are a side issue. I have no problem if they get away."

Lightray seems tp think for a moment. "So, even though the belt is weak point, do not target it as we do not wish a portion of the Virginia countryside to become a radiation scarred wasteland. Got it." He glances at Jennifer. "Perhaps a strong show of force at the beginning to convince as many of the gunmen to flee as possible? Try to cow then into leaving?"

Jennifer says, "Yes. Once Radium goes down I cannot see her gunmen staying around. Likewise Johnny's guards will probably know better than trying to take on metas if we leave them an escape route."

Kibin comments, "I could try to use stealth, and try to knock out Radium in one hit or at least stun her."

Lightray nods and looks to Jennifer. "We have a map of the area? An idea of potential blind spots in the gunmen's fields of fire? Fall back positions?"

Jennifer nods to Kibin. "The likely time to make the hit by Radium is after the drugs have arrived but before their are shipped out. Probably fairly quickly after arrival. Now, look at this..." she types and brings up a sattelite view of the farm area. "Google map. That image is two weeks old."

Variable looks at the map.

Jennifer says, "Kibin, you haven't blotted your copybook with SGG in the way I have. Do you think you can get an up to the minute view from one of the SG satellites?"

Kibin asks Jennifer, "Is stuff like that fine, for hero but non starguard work?"

Lightray murmurs softly. "Google. What an odd name." He looks down at the map. "My, how things have changed. USed to take, well, no matter. Seems as if the farm is well situated to have near open fields of fire from the barn or house. Those are the high grounds it seems. Too bad. Woods can give us cover while we wait it looks like though. But crossing the open ground to the barn will be a bear." His tone has become abstracted as he speaks.

Jennifer grins, "By the book, no. That's why I'm asking if you can get hold of it. They're more likely to do a favour for you than me."

Jennifer says, "I know Horatio wasn't pleased by the shift in scope of SGG, Kibin. Officially this is not SG business. Unofficially I think he'll be more than willing to pass on the information."

Kibin says to Jennifer, "I might could try... I guess."

Jennifer says, "Thanks. We want some oblique views as well as overheads. A straight down view doesn't show windows."

Kibin sends a message to Horatio, requesting the information and saying why, with his PDA.

Kibin waits a little while... then his PDA beeps and he looks back. "Huh," he says, sounding surprised.

From low Earth orbit, it's possible to see two four wheelers patrolling the boundary of the farm, with two men riding each of them. Otherwise there's not much activity on the farm; presumably most everyone is still inside.

Kibin says to Jennifer, "Well... we have live pictures now." He shows her them.

Lightray murmurs, "Did Smiling Johnny give us an idea of how many of his men should be there?"

Jennifer says, "Thanks, Kibin. You must be in Horatio's good books."

Jennifer says, "About ten."

Lightray gives some advice that would ahve been godd but that fails to take into account modern electronics.

Kibin just plain doesn't know anything about tactics, so he just listens and nods.

Jennifer looks over the images. "This is the closest point with full cover." she points at a spot about 80 yards from the barn. "I can stealth in. Nobody is likely to see me. Variable, let's see if there are animals roaming loose. That was your idea wasn't it?"

Lightray smiles slightly. "I think Kibin wishes to stealth in as well." He then chuckles. "I do not think I will be able to do so. A glowing flying man tends to stand out."

Kibin says, "My stealth is based on just instinct... I don't have any fancy equipment like Jennifer might have."

Jennifer says, "Anyone speak Cantonese?"

Variable says, "There's only that dog though....."

Lightray shakes his head. "Wrong part of the world for me. Always wanted to learn though."

Variable says, "And a bit of wildlife. I was hoping for some larger animals."

Jennifer grins, "Hunting season, Variable. Go in as a sizable wildlife and they'll probably shoot at you anyway."

Jennifer taps the image. "This is a long way out. Now I have a slightly risky plan that gives better results if it works."

Kibin asks Jennifer, "What's the plan then?"

Variable says, "Yeah. That doesn't really help."

Jennifer says, "You see the 4-wheelers on patrol? Two men in each. We take out one vehicle quietlyand Variable and I change appearence to copy the men in the vehicle. When the plane lands we drive to the barn with everyone in the back."

Variable says, "Oh, good idea!"

Jennifer says, "All they see until we're in the barn is their vehicle with their men in it."

Kibin hmmmms. "That could work..."

Lightray nods. "Reasonable."

Jennifer nods, "To get the vehicle to stop. Variable, can you take the shape of a deer? You can lay in the path of one of the vehicles looking already dead. They won't shoot in that case. But they almost certainly will stop to pick up a venison meal."

Variable nods. "I can do that."

Jennifer grins, "We agreed? Try it that way?"

Lightray nods. "Shall I wait to make an appearance until after the plane has landed?"

Jennifer says, "You can be in the rear of the vehicle with us, Lightray. If you can't dim the glow we can put a blanket over you."

Kibin says, "So, we have a plan now."

Lightray smiles. "This is the least 'glowy' I get I am afraid. So I will be happy to hide."

Lightray murmurs, "And now that we have a plan, we need only await contact with the enmy for it to change." He smiles slightly. "That is always the exciting part."
