Jennifer stays ready ans waiting inside the barn, having listened to Variable and Kibin she knows there's nothing she can do... or maybe... . o O(Radium wants the drugs. Let's give her a reason to come in here. I look like one of the gunmen. She looks around for something that will smoulder with lots of smoke, an oily rag for example.

Jessica makes another rushed move towards the idling car coming out to the fringe of the woods at the end. If she isn't seen, and she tries not to be, she tosses a small pebble casually at a tinted window. If, as she expects, the window is lowered to see what made the noise, she has a flash-bang grenade in hand to throw into the car.

Jennifer feels a cleaning rag and a can of oil for the plane's engine. Wetting the rag in the oil she lits it and tosses it on the ground neat the entrance where the smoke will drift outside, "Fire! Fire!" she shouts trying to sound panicked.

Jessica changes tack when she cannot instantly see a loose pebble amid the leaf mould in the woods. She reaches out with her whip to tap, quite politely, on the car window instead.

"Is this some sort of trap?" Radium says to Lightray. "How can you hope to contain me? I have the power of the atom at my command." At the cries of fire, she twists nimbly in the air, turning towards the barn and flying full speed towards it.

Lightray sighs and mutters something under his breath. He flies towards the barn then throws a beam of sunlight at Radium's retreating back.

Radium banks tightly as she flies away from Lightray, out of the path of the sunbeam.

Kibin runs after Radium, panting heavily. Man she flies fast.

Kibin contiues running towards the barn, getting a little ahead of Radium now.

Jennifer and Jessica hold actions waiting for reactions to their last activities.

Radium floats into the barn through a second story window. "A foolish decision," Radium says to the disguised Jennifer. "But you won't have to regret it for long." She raises her hand and begins to aim.

Variable leaps up into the air with her enhanced strength, and strikes out at Radium with a hardened club-arm, trying to knock her in a downwards direction.

Radium floats out the path of the punch with practiced ease.

Variable lands with an easy grace, at least.

Jennifer activates her force field and strikes out with her energy whip, surving it up and over Radium to strike downwards. She puts her whole effort behind the attack.

Radium seems caught off guard by the energy whip, which slams her down onto the floor of the hangar. She seems more surprised than hurt.

Lightray looks around as everyone oudsitances him. "Well damn," he mutters as he really bears down on his speed in order to close the distance to the barn. He just pushines himself all out, flying fasst and straingt as he can.

Up the road from the farm, a gunman opens the door of his SUV, drawing his gun and looking around.

Jessica grins as she tosses a flash=bang grenade into the car from the concealment of woods and stealth suit.

"Yeargh!" All four of the gunmen inside the car shout out as the grenade goes off inside the SUV.

Radium is lying flat on the ground after Jennifer's attack. As she pushes her arms beneath her, she looks up and around at the people confronting her. "You're not the normal guards. Who are you?"

Jennifer grins, "Velly solly. Normal guards ran away. So a few metas had to step in."

Kibin runs at Radium, pushing his speed a bit and becoming a small blur as he leaps and slashes at Radium again, now that she's on the ground and easier to reach.

Kibin's claws bat at the field the protects Radium, instead of digging in. She's knocked into a rack of tools at the side of the hangar.

Radium float into the air, this time, remaining just a few inches above the ground. "This is Smiling Johnny's doing, isn't it. Leave it to him to find someone else to do his work." She turns and faces Kibin. She adjusts the dial on her waist before unleashing a yellow blast of radiation at the raptor.

The blast opens a gaping hole in the side of the barn, ringed with red hot metal.

Jennifer strikes at Radium again, "No, this is your doing, Radium. Much as I dislike Smiling Johnny he knows to keep his business under wraps. He doesn't start building buildings down. Or leaving boxes of explosives in the middle of the said burning building in the middle of Chinatown."

Jennifer's attack Radium down into the ground, hard. This time, she lands on her back and isn't quite so quick to move once she's there.

Variable takes advantage of Radium being downed to pound her as hard as she can with her clublike arm.

Radium is slammed down into the ground again. She grunts.

Jessica moves into the car with the four gunmen, drawing out the ranger staff as she does but extending the staff only to single-stick length. There she lays about her with gay abandon with more then playful taps but judged according the the amount of armor of protection the gunmen are showing.

Jessica stuns two of the four gunmen with strikes to head and chest in the crowded confines of the car.

Lightray drops his speed and flies at a more sedate speed into the interior of the barn. He takes a moment to get a lay of the land before taking any other action.

Kibin leaps at Radium again while she's on the ground, putting more effort than usual into his swipe with the claws on his feet.

Radium gasps as Kibin's teeth bite into her. As a response, her body start to grow brighter and much, much hotter. The air around her distorts as the ground starts to melt beneath her. As she starts to sink into the ground, she speaks. "Why does it matter who I hurt. One day you will all die. If not today, then tomorrow. If not tomorrow, then in hundred years... gone in the blink of the universe's eye..." She sinks through the molten ground which flows in to cover her path.

Jessica continues to lay about her with gay abandon with the single stick striking at the two unstunned and one stunned.

Jennifer holds, "She may have gone. She may be regrouping to return. Eyes peeled everyone. I'm assuming nobody can go after her?"

Variable says, "Not quickly..."

Jessica takes out two of the gunmen and stuns one of the remaining conscious pair.

Lightray shakes head. "No. But where are her men?"

Jennifer says, "Four gunmen in a SUV. Jess is dealing with them."

Lightray nods. "I would retreat to my support, no?"

Variable sighs. "We didn't do very well, did we?"

Kibin puts his head to the ground, trying to hear where Radium is going.

Jessica cleans up inside the car and then drives it and and four unconscious gunmen to the barn.

Lightray floats down to the ground, his wings moving slowly. "No, I would say we accomplished half the objective. Assuming that the pane does have any drugs in it."

Jennifer says, "The tunneling out was a surprise. Otherwise, lets check. Dead heroes, none. Injured heroes, none, Retreating villains, one. It's a tactical win. She was tough. She had to run."

Variable says, "But the whole point was to be a trap for Radium. We failed in that - worse, she knows we're after her now, so she'll be more cautious. Maybe she had to run, but we didn't achieve anything."

Kibin says to everyone, breathing heavily, "She seems like she's going back to Colonial Bay."

Jessica is working at something. "Don't give up hope yet."

Variable says, "She may have to come out of the tunnel soon, depending on if she can see underground... should I destroy the drugs?"

Kibin says to Variable, "I think we can get the police to mop up here while we go after Radium."

Lightray smiles slightly as he kneels down over the hole, feeling the dying heat. "Well, no one died. Given her statements about the shortness of life, Radium seems to have little regard for it." He glances over at Kibin. "Do you need to be refreshed, Kibin?

Kibin says to Lightray, "I can catch my breath while we follow Radium. "

Jennifer says, "Okay, we can follow her. At least Kibin can and we can follow him. I have her track on the sat image in infrared too. How do we stop her tunneling out again?"

Lightray shrugs. "Take her out when she is in the air?"

Variable says, "Except most of us can't fly"

Kibin suddenly has an idea. "The device on her wrist seems to control how her radiation is released. What if we get her to fire a blast at one of us and then destroy it?"

Variable says, "Water might stop her tunnelling. And that was part of the way she was imprisoned."

Kibin hmmmmms. "Or not, since I didn't see her mess with the dial on her wrist any for tunneling."

Jennifer says, "That means you. As Variable says we cannot fly. Kibin, it's a gamble. It may be we can destory it and she cannot channel her energy after that. She might just as easily go nuc and wipe out a few square miles."

Kibin adds, "I could try to hold on to her while you guys hit her, my bite is pretty strong."

Jennifer says, "It may come to that, Kibin. You, Jess, and I taking turns to try and hold her while the rest hit. It's going to string her she starts radiating heat though."

Kibin says to everyone, "Well, we might as well get going now."

Variable says, "It may be the answer though. Though if you can dunk her in water while you're at it I'd try that too."

Lightray nods silently and follows the others.

Variable follows too.

Jennifer says, "The track is getting fainter. She may be going deeper."

Eventually, the satellite trail disappears as Radium dips far enough underground to evade tracking. The line of the path is clear though -- a straight line route to Colonial Bay.

Variable says, "That's not good."

Variable says, "But maybe as she comes up again she'll be trackable."

Kibin says, "I think she knows where she's going. Maybe she's going in a straight line towards a safehouse though?"

Variable says, "I wonder how she's going so straight....."

Lightray murmurs, "I think a problem would be tracking a heat source in a city the size of Colonial Bay. I would guess that has senses that goe beyond the normal and is using them to navigate."

Kibin adds, "Also, if it's an even velocity, she should be easy to track where she is underneathe the city... if she's planning on resurfacing."

Jennifer says, "Okay, lets bring up a map, extend the route she was taking and see if there are any candidates."

Variable says, "She'll have to be careful as she gets near the Bay anyway. Unless water *isn't* a problem for her."

Kibin replies to Variable, "It was water with boric acid added or something...."

Jessica says, "We'll want something like an engineer's map. Showing the underground workings."

Variable nods. "I know. But water itself may be somewhat limiting.... Anyone know what boric acid is and how to get it?"

Kibin replies to Jennifer, "Can you make it track her assuming she moves at a constant rate of speed, and in the same direction she's in? We can keep tracking that dot, and I might could smell her when she resurfaces."

Jennifer nods, "I should be able to. It's pretty standard time over disteance targeting stuff and these SG satellite systems are good."

Kibin adds, "Make sure to simulate through the time that we lost tracking too."

Lightray just watches and listens as technology rears it head. He seems fascinated but remains silent.

Jennifer laughs, "Yeah. After this is finished are you going to teach me how to suck eggs too, Grandma?"

Jessica says, "This assumes the same direction and constant speed of cours."

Variable says, "Best we can do is try to beat her back to Colonial Bay and hope we can pick up the trail again there."

Jennifer nods.

Kibin follows the dot more. "Hopefully she'll have the same direction and speed, and with my sense of smell almost as good as a bloodhound's I'm pretty sure there's room for error. Harder in the city, but her odd smell should be easier to pick out."

Jennifer is watching the dot. "She's going faster underground than I can run."

Lightray murmurs. "Is it faster than the car your sister brought?"

Kibin hmmmms. "I can keep up with her easily..."

Jennifer nods, "In the city, yes. She can travel in a straight line. The car or my bikes have to use roads."

Variable says, "We should be able to do it in the vehicles. The traffic's not too bad out here."

Jennifer says, "Yes, at least until we get to the built up areas."

There are 11 players connected.

Lightray nods. "Should we not worry about that being a problem when it becomes one and chase her while we can?"

Kibin asks, "What about getting the police to keep a lookout for her, informing us if she's spotted?"

Part II

The heroes follow the predicted trail back to Colonial Bay. Satellite tracking picks up Radium again as she nears the surface. The estimation overshoots her location and by the time the heroes double back to where the satellite has located her, she's above ground.

Radium turns and spots the approaching vehicles. The rematch has begun.

A black truck complete with police lights speeds down the highway nearest the farm. Akeno's driving isn't top notch, but he's police trained and that's something. Taking to the off-road since his truck should at least be capable of that, he heads towards Radium as he contacts his department as well through his PDA and his radio. "This is Detective Matsuya, I have a sighting of Chinese criminal Radium. Requesting back-up. I have local metas on hand as well. Please respond and be advised powers are highly radioactive. Containment suits and containment units will be needed." After that, he just concentrates on driving. He gave coordinates so all that the heroes have to do is stall her.

Kibin stays on the bike as it flies towards Radium, getting ready to leap off of it.

Jennifer and Jessica close to combat range and hold actions to react to events.

Spying the oncoming heroes, Radium flies straight up to put more distance between herself and her pursuit.

Icon floats along the sky, heading towards town, returning from a farm outside of town, known for selling prized unpasteurized french cheeses. He holds a box full of goodies, then turns his head as he notices the commotion. (Quoi, hmmmm, dangeur) he thinks.

Variable is waiting for the vehicles to reach Radium - though that's seeming rather unlikely now. "Not again! Anyone who can fly, try to lure her down!"

Icon floats onwards and looks around, noticing a nice place to put down his cheeses. He concentrates and surrounds himself with a protective field of psychokinetic energy, crackling with an amethyst light.

Lightray watches Radium fly higher. He takes to the sky after her, a filed of light forming around himslef as he moves upwards.

Jennifer grabs Jessica on the end of an energy whip and lifts her 7" into the air extending the whip dangerous beyond its design limits. From her heightened vantage point Jessica extends her own energy whip to attempt a grab on Radium.

Jessica's energy lash wraps tightly around Radium, pinning her arms to her sides. She tries to wriggle free, but can't seem to loosen the whip against the twin's strength.

Kibin gets out of the bike and runs under Radium, waiting for Jessica to bring her down.

Variable says, "too :dismounts and waits for the twins to down Radium."

Variable too dismounts and waits for the twins to down Radium.

Akeno suddenly skids his truck, turning it off and popping out the door in one smooth motion of practice as it stops. Almost right near the twins. "Twins, keep those steady." With that being the only warning, Akeno disappears. Only to reappear briefly ON THE LASH up near Jess, then again at the end near Radium. Who is about to probably end up on the ground from the wind encircled kick straight into her. People knew Akeno was fast, but since when the hell could he do that? Unfortunately, only the twins probably could see/feel what did happen.

Radium is an easy target, now that she's wrapped up by Jessica's whip. Cracking her radioactive force field is another matter altogether. Akeno's kick glances off of her.

Akeno blinks a few times. "A force field? Didn't expect that."

Icon looks at this scene, then shrugs. He looks at Radium and focuses on her mind.

Radium sways slightly in Jessica's grasp. She looks over towards Icon... then back to Jessica.

Radium glow bright and hot again. Although her face is expressionless, her voice carries acid for Jessica. "You've my undivided attention now!" A blast of radiation bursts from where her eyes would be, intended for Jessica.

Jessica nods. "I guessed. You aren't the first. You won't be the last."

The whip holding Radium sparkles and arcs with wild electricity as it resists the effects of Radium's energy aura. Jessica winces but holds on.

Jessica grits her teeth. "Yeah. That hurts. I've been hurt by professionals. After a while you get used to it."

HMP Gets out of the car she was riding in. She moves closer and but frowns behind her mask looking up. She has no fling skills and her sword is to short for an attack. She waits for the villain to get pulled down to the ground.

Jessica holds onto Radium and swings her downwards. Jennifer pulls Jessica down to ground level. Radium runs out of altitude rather abruptly.

Kibin swings around at Radium once she hits the ground, pushing himself slightly to deliver a powerful slice to attempt to break through her forcefield.

HMP Smiles behind her helmet and pulls her sword out and moves in quickly not going to let this meta get into the sky again with out feeling her sword. She raise her sword over her head and brings it down with all her might.

Variable does the only thing she can: pound Radium as hard as she can into the ground.

Radium is slammed into the ground one more time. Softly and defiantly, she says, "You can't hold me forever... Forever is a very long time..." and goes limp within Jessica's grasp.

Variable pants from the effort. "Is that it?"

HMP puts away her sword wishing she could of done more. She shrugs and looks around, "now what do we do with this meta?"

Variable says, "Stronghold, I guess, at least eventually. The Chinese managed to hold her in their meta-prison...."

Lightray flies down to the ground near the group, combat having been finished before he could reach the scene. He looks at Radium, then to the rest of you. "Does Colonial bay ahve a facility capapble of holding her?"

Jessica says very quietly under her breath, "Actually we can if it's really needed, near enough." Then she squeezes once more just for luck. "Interesting question. Luckily it's one the State Department has to answer, not us. But for now, Stronghold I guess."

Icon glances at the fallen metahuman and concentrates a bit, probing at the mind.

Jessica says, "The cells in Starguard could. But this isn't in Starguard jurisdiction."

Variable says, "Well we know what the Chinese did. A bromic acid bath."

HMP nods, "She might be a good power plant if the government can reform her"

Akeno shakes his head, "Nor mine. She's an international criminal Speaking of which." He walks over to Jessica. "How injured are you? One of my new tricks is a mostly minor healing power. Nothing flashy, and nothing overwhelming."

Jessica grins, "Injured? From that little tickle? Not at all. Many a little singed but that's all."

Variable says, "She didn't even attack me... If I'd known that I could have been more offensive.."

Akeno rolls his eyes, "You sure? That radiation was strong enough to withstand a full attack from me at least."

Icon looks over and picks up his box of cheese, and floats away. The wafting and smell of fresh stinky cheese perfuming the area.

Lightray looks over at Jennifer. "Thank you for asking to along, Ms Markham. I am sorry I was not able to be more help." He then smiles. "I hope I have the chance to work with you and your sister again."

Jessica says, "It'w what I've been trained and created to deal with, Akeno. Plus I have a new improved force field thanks to my sister's super-tech boyfriend."

Kibin hmmms. He asks, "Did anyone call the police and tell them about the drugs?"

Variable says, "We were kind of busy. I did offer to do something about them."

Jennifer smiles, "It was good working with you. I hear you did just fine out at the farm. If anything comes up I'll call you if I can."

HMP nods, "I can do that if you want I have a build in radio"

Akeno nods. "Just tell me where and I'll take it from there. She's not under my jursidiction, but drugs this close? I think we're still in city limits."

Lightray nods to each of the others who were involoved in the fight. "I hope to work with you all again. Be well." He then takes to the sky again and flies away over the city.

HMP turns on her scanner and turns it off the heavy metal stations she normally has it on. She tune into a police band and gives them the station and contents the drugs are at.

Akeno listens in from his own police scanner in the truck as he pulls out a pair of heavy duty handcuffs and puts them on Radium just in case. Dialing another number, he contacts the UEMS before heading to the site of the drugs to coordinate things.
