T'was the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse...

Well a creature was stirring, but twasn't a mouse, twas not a mouse in this little house..

twas something much darker with sinister need, with sinster purpose, doing sinister deeds

But if you would defend this world from this fate, then make with all haste in opening a gate.

For if this world is to be whole, if it is to remain free, then take your collective over to RRP3.

Skysabre settles against a lamppost in its oversized preregrine falcon form, eyes closed.

Jennifer and Jessica are catching up on missed Matt time. Fortunately they have cold weather gear so the bitter wind doesn't bother them.

Wanderer flies through the air as an eagle, landing on a lamppost as well. He glances over to the odd bird nearby.

What is a taker? In your most ancient of knowledge there was a race of beings called the horde. The horde had no shape, had no forms. All that was known was that there were 4 types of the horde, There was the queen, who lead a horde, and then there were the warriors, great beasts..insectlike, and there were the takers, and the taken. The takers would inhabit living beings, killing them except for their body functions, physically they lived, but otherwise they were dead. Simply hosts for the Takers. Whole worlds had perished one of the greatest things that your people have done for the universe is to have saved many worlds from destruction against the Horde.'

Regent walks with the twins, both on his arm. "Ladies,.." he smiles, "I still feel.." and he pauses, "I'm just happy you're back here. I thought perhaps I had truly..lost you two."

Skysabre's eyes snap open and it immediately transforms into its humanoid form, hovering over the lamppost. It scans the street with a quick sweep of its optics.

Jennifer grins, "Quarter a million miles and a bunch of aliens? That's nowhere near enough to keep me away from you."

Wanderer shrugs his eagle shoulders, which must seem odd. The overlarge bird doesn't seem to be bothering anyone, so he goes back to scanning the street.

Regent smiles and gives Jessica a kiss on the lips. "Sweet talker." he winks..but as he does so he notices the over large bird and Skysabre.."Girls...20 feet up and at 2 O'clock. Do you see them?"

Skysabre seems to leap off the lamppost, floating towards Jennifer and Regent. The Air Commander seems about as agitated as it has ever appeared, its expression set and its optics flicking from side to side. "You are in grave danger."

Regent frowns.."Um..what?" his voice serious as he looks around. "I don't see anything."

Wanderer blinks at hearing the word danger, flying down to the ground and changing into his usual wizard shape. He asks Skysabre, "What do you mean by danger?" Not thinking at all odd that he's talking to a giant bird.

Regent blinks.."Who are you?" to the man.

Jessica nods, "The mechanical one is called Skysabre. Alien bird, connected with the Guild in some fashion I'm notsure about but a good guy so to speak. Never seen the other one."

"Nor do I." Skysabre replies to Regent. "But I have just received a high priority security alert from the Elders. That they would risk the detection of their signal by terrestrial listening stations speaks to its urgency."

Wanderer hmmmms, he has been slacking in general crimefighting lately. He greets Jessica saying, "You can call me Wanderer. New around here."

Regent frowns.."Your Elders..the ones you interface With. Why would they contact you outside of your interface point?"

Regent turns to the Wanderer and nods briskly keeping his attention mostly on the Air Commander

"Notification of extra-terrestrial infiltration." Skysabre replies. "A particularly dangerous breed of organic. Takers."

Regent raises an Eyebrow, "Takers?"

Wanderer turns towards Skysabre, interested in this possible danger.

Jennifer shrugs, "Bring 'em on!"

Skysabre nods to Regent. "A parasitic race which we have encountered many times before. They are small and capable of taking control of a host organic form. They have been detected in the city. Likely the presence of Takers indicates the presence of more...advanced control organics."

Regent nods slowly, putting a hand on Jennifer's shoulder.."How do we find them?..what do they look like?"

Wanderer glances around for anything not human as he mostly listens to Skysabre.

"The Takers are insectoid. They would appear very small, roughly six inches in length." The Air Commander replies. It turns to Jen. "I recognize that you are very confident in your race's ability to combat extra-terrestrial threats. However, the Takers will come at your sideways. They are parasites capable of taking control of a host form."

Jennifer pulls a face, "Ugh! You mean like burrowing inside?"

Regent raises an eyebrow.."How do you remove the parasites from the hosts?"

Skysabre shrugs at Regent. "They can be removed easily enough. But there are no recorded instances of the host surviving past initial possession."

Wanderer asks Skysabre, "Why not?"

Regent blinks.."Wait..what?.."

"The process of possession involves extensive damage to the organic host's neural networks." Skysabre replies. "You may be able to sustain organ systems through artificial means but the Takers do not leave their hosts alive in any meaningful sense. I must inform your authorities as soon as possible."

Jessica says, "So how do you find them?"

Regent nods, "Right.."

From about 2 streets away the sound of sirens scream as 2 police vehicles drive, they drive towards harrisburg.

"The Taken can be identified by their generally unresponsive state. They function well enough, but their social abilities will be wiped clean. They are easy enough to spot if they can be engaged." Skysabre replies to Jessica.

It turns towards the sirens. "It may have already begun. There must be a hive somewhere in the city. I am cleared to provide as much information as possible due to the gravity of the threat."

says, "It sounds like they're headed for Harrisburg..we should check on it. Skysabre, you should alert Starguard and United Earth to this matter. It sounds serious, it sounds like something they should handle.." he says not certain about this, "All I know is that if this is true, we better get there and see if we can help."

Jennifer mocks being afraid and hiding behind Matt. "The Guild is actually giving us information. The threat /must/ be real and deadly."

Vitalis hears the sirens from a few streets away, as he walks down the street. He decides to see what the commotion is, and heads towards the source of the sirens.

Wanderer nods, flying off without hesitation towards Harrisburg.

Regent says flatly..."I hate this..this is not good, I can feel it to the core of my being."

says, "Hold tight girls, we're going to Harrisburg the short way." he puts an arm around each girls waist and waits for their readiness before flying up and off towards harrisburg."

"The information comes from the Elders." Skysabre replies to Jennifer. "I will proceed to alert Starguard and United Earth as suggested. You must all be very careful. Any one of the you could be stung and infected."

Jessica nods. "Yeah. We go and kick butt as usual but I didn't like the bit about the hosts not having any chance of recovery."

Vitalis is the first to reach Harrisburg, the two cop cars are stopped in front of a home where the door hangs open, it is quiet to police officers wait out front, assumingly 2 have entered the building.

Vitalis looks around and towards the house. He glances around, "Hmmm, hate to enter a crime scene." he mumbles to himself, but so tempted to see what the commotion is.

Regent takes to the air, holding the girls and he is in Harrisburg just moments behind the Wanderer..who see's the two cop cars and Vitalis at the foot of the building.

The Cops stop Vitalis, "Sorry can't let you in."

Vitalis nods and says, "Oh I understand, what happened?"

Wanderer lands next to the cops and Vitalis, asking, "What's going on here?"

"Call that there was a missing persons case..possible foul play..." says the officer when his radio goes off, "Bronski, the place is clean..but its weird, there's no one..in the whole buildings, its like everyone just left. Doors are open, stoves are still cooking dinner. Better call another couple of cars, this is weir.." and the transmission ends. A moment later the screams begin.

Vitalis looks over at the other cop, "Oh dear, I am a doctor. uhmmm" looking towards the source of the scream.

The sound of guns going off is heard before Regent lands with the girls, he drops them to the ground and flies for the open door. "Cover me!"

Bronski and his partner draw their guns and start to run for the door as well..

Bronski yells over his shoulder, "Doc, unless yer a meta, you better keep back...this don't sound good." and he yells into his radio, "Unit 3 to all Units we have gunfire at 2134 Harrisburg Lane, requesting Immediate backup. Metas on the scene, but 2 officers underfire, repeat 2 officers underfire!"

Jennifer yells to the police and Vitalis. "Stop! If you go in there you're dead. Seal the building. Don't let anyone leave with permission from us or Starguard. If anyone tries shoot and keep shooting."

Vitalis looks at Jennifer, "Starguard? Alien invasion?" then nods a bit, "Never seen one of those."

Wanderer waves his staff and mutters a few arcane words, with a magical-looking shield appearing in front of him. He then goes through the door as soon as possible.

The screaming continues but the shooting stops and a moment later, after Matt has entered the building, from a second story wall, the body of one of the cops flies out, then his bloody arm follows.

Vitalis looks over and moves quickly towards the body of the cop to see his condition.

Jessica nods as she and Jenn run in after Matt activating their force armor. "Class one Foothold situation. Probably alien host identifiers are lack of knowledge of Earth culture and loss of social skills."

Wanderer walks ahead, surveying for anything that seems to be dangerous.

In the newly created hole stands a man, about 5'8" he bleeds from a number of wounds, none fatal, it doesn't even to know that it is hurt, and its eyes, for those of you who see them..are dead, perhaps the most frightening thing about it all.

The Cop is not dead..yet, (-8 Body, arm will not be reattachable or regrown, it has been torn from his body)

Bronski swears "That's a cop! We're going in!"

The twins slips energy whips out of their pockets. They'd rather not use them in sight of the police officers but better having to explain about that than someone getting stung and infected.

Vitalis looks down at the cop and places his hand on the body, concentrating he attempts to restore life and health to the body. (4d6 Body Healing)

As Matt and the others enter, it is quiet..very quiet, a number of doorways stand open, It is only a 2 story brownstone with only 8 families living in it. Right now, it is as quiet as a morgue.

Vitalis looks around and says, "Someone call an ambulance." then realizes he is the only one around. "Fine I'll do it."

The healing takes place and the bleeding stump at the cop's shoulder closes, to a fresh pink, too much blood has been lost, and the trauma severe, he is in shock, and while no longer dying, this man will remain very hurt for a very long time.

Jessica looks at Officer Bronski. "If you go in that's more people we have to try and protect. Which might get us killed or let the alien get loose."

Wanderer seems to be preparing some sort of magical fire attack, aimed at the man in the hole...

Vitalis looks down at the wound, "What the hell did this to you, the wound is incredible."

The cop..doesn't answer.

Vitalis looks at him closely, "Catatonic." then shakes his head, and decides to phone in for an ambulance.

Wanderer looks down at the cop, worry on his face... "Is he going to be okay?"

Bronski curses, "Blast it! She's right, we aren't equipt for this," he pauses, "Take care in there, and get whoever did this.." he says before heading back out, He calls for back up from the meta police and then calls the ambulance assessing them of the situation, he turns to Vitalis, "Thank you..who ever you are. That man has been my friend in the force for 20 years, Thank you."

Jennifer doesn't know if it will do any good but she dons her stealth cloak and takes point sneaking in looking and listening.

Vitalis looks over and says, "He is stable, but he'll need some time to fully restore." then places his hand on the cop and concetrates, focusing on checking him out fully. (Detect Injury/Illness)

Matt looks around.."Where is everyone.." his hands pulsing with light energy..

Jennifer says, "Hiding. Ambush."

Wanderer stays with Jennifer and the others inside...

Regent watches the backs of the girls, keeping his senses peeled for any kind of movement.

Vitalis looks up and says, "He'll be fine." then glances at the man standing in the hole. He Concentrates and surrounds himself in a protective aura of golden light. "Is he one of your men?"

Jessica says, "Matt, Wander, the missing persons report said two people. There's two cops in here. We can be facing four of more alien hosts. So if your see three don't assume that's all there is."

The heroes stand in the entry, to the right and left are very short hall ways with doors open to residences, directly in front is a stairway that leads to the 2nd floor and the same scene is found upstairs.

Jessica holds her hand up to signal a halt. Jenn sneaks into the residence of her left.

As Jen enters the room, she notices its empty, what she doesn't notice is the young girl in the kitchen, holding a large cutting board.

Vitalis looks over at the cop, "Can you take care of your friend? I better go in, and check on any more wounded."

Jennifer checks for doors after checking for aliens and moves towards the nearest intent on checking the other rooms out.

The little girl holding the large cutting board is seen, she's only about 5 or 6 years old, but she holds the large wooden cutting board as if it were made from styrofoam, not a heavy piece of wood.

And her eyes are...dead.

Vitalis stands up and walks a few feet towards the man in hole, "Sir, are you alright?" then waves his hand. "Lemme guess, you are the one who threw the cop threw the hole?" turning to look at the wounded cop, he looks back at the man and concentrates, attempting to figure out what the person is. (Detect Lifeforce)

Jennifer mutters something under her breath. Activating the energy whip she attempts to grab the girl. Back outside Jess tells Matt and Wanderer. "Damn it. There's a six year old girl in there who's been taken."

The man..is a man...but, you detect 2 life forces within him, his own, and another, tied to his life force.

Regent frowns..

Vitalis nods and says, "I normally don't do this, but let's be honest, you are scary." then blasts at the man.

Jennifer strikes out with the whip curling the lash around the possessed child. But she cannot bring herself to do the smart move and tighten the whip.

Vitalis extends his hands and launches are golden like lightning strike. He watches as it has no effect. "What in the world are you."

Wanderer hmmmms, fire might not be nessecary. He stops looking like he's about to attack, letting Jennifer take care of it, looking around for any sort of surprises.

Jessica says, "Matt do you have any way of rendering a child unconscious without injuring her?"

says, "I do my love, I hate to do it, but I can knock her out, strip her of air to breath."

Jennifer says, "She's strong. As strong as me. I'm only holding her because I'm using a joint lock."

Regent nods, "Ok..I'll do it."

Jennifer holds the small girl in the grib of her energy whip. Jessica moves up to cover jennifer's back as well as Wanderer and Matt..

Wanderer lets the other two take care of the girl, keeping an eye out for danger.

Regent floats in and sees the girl, he immediately glows green and closes his hand...

The girl's hair is whiped as wind elementals draw the air from the area that the girl is standing at, and even as she turns purple, she doesn't pass out, she stands there still trying to get out of the hold of the whip.

Regent's eyes go wide as he watches this, "...She still needs to breathe..why isn't she out?"

From behind the group a man steps from the other apartment carrying a recliner over his head, as if it were a beach ball, he throws it landing squarely on the chest of the Wanderer...who goes down in a surprised heap.

Regent turns and sees the man, "Behind you Jess!" he yells.

Jessica turns and strikes with her whip at the possessed eye-deadened man.

Vitalis looks at the man and the calls back at the cop, "Watch out, I think this guy has been possessed by some alien, or someother lifeforce." then pauses to consider his move.

The girl thrashes trying to get out...

but she cant.

Another woman, an attractive caucasian woman, who bears a striking similarity to the young girl, steps out from the another room that connects to the main room of the 1st apartment, her eyes too dead, she is carrying a knife, a simple cooking knife and she rushes at Jennifer.

Jennifer tries to avoid the knife but hampered by not wanting to release the girl she fails to do so. The knife strikes into her ribs with a sound more like a steel bar hitting the side of a tank. Jennifer oofs in a surprised exhalation and half doubled over from the power of the woman's attack.

From behind the man who threw the recliner comes another man, younger in his teens, A black man, perhaps 16 years old, Jessica will recognize him as being a younger member of the Harrisburg watch, in later days she will mourn his passing...his eyes like the rest, dead.

says, "Jen!" shouts Matt, his eyes start to blaze, he knows its not these peoples faults, but that doesn't make them any less deadly, the gloves are off, they are in a fight for their lives.

Jennifer says, "I'm.. oof.. ok."

From upstairs the man from the hole in the wall jumps out of the building to attack the downed cop. The two who stand outside over his body begin to fire, and the sound of gunfire and shouting from outside can be heard as well.

Vitalis turns and looks back at the man being shot at. He grimaces.

The man goes down in the hail of gunfire, as one bullet finally hits him in the heart, still struggling, the man finally dies after grabbing the foot of the downed cop, and even in its dying moments the sound of bones breaking in the grasp of the dying man is heard as the ankle of the downed cop breaks like fine china.

Vitalis focuses and attempts to sense something.

2 more taken appear upstairs, both from the apartment the man who jumped out the hole in the wall came from the upstairs left.

Regent says coldly, "We are outnumbered, we have to put an end to this, or we're going to end up dead..or worse."

Jessica nods and lashes out with her whip.

Jessica is saddened by the harsh reality of the situation but even so she's not use leathal force. Striking at the two hosts standing close to each other, the man who threw the recliner and the Harrisburg watch member she sweeps across them aiming low with the intention of breaking legs so they cannot move.

Vitalis attempts to do an humane attempt of stopping this madness. He focuses his powers at one of the two on the second floor and strikes out with his golden light. He concentrates closely, trying to eradicate the parasitic infectin gripping these zombie like people. "I'll need to catalog this indeed."

The Harrisburg watchman steps back, avoiding the flying body of the other man, who hits the wall and the sound of every bone in his body breaking, is heard the taken's eyes close, but it still breathes and shows no sign of pain.

One of the Men upstairs changes abruptly, his eyes deglaze and he looks around, not sure of what is going on..and yet..Vitalis can still sense 2 life forces in the man.

From outside the cops begin shouting again, "Oh Cripes! What is that!!??" and the shooting ensues again.

Jennifer keeps hold of the little girl in her whip. and sidekicks the probable mother who's using the knife. The woman is kicked and drops to her knees unable to continue the fight, the sheer power of the kick has stunned even the mindless host, the parasite unable to control its host when in this much pain.

Jessica switches targets to the Harrisburg Watch guy. Him she doesn't mind so much. Harrisburg watch and her don't get on. But she still goes for a leg hit.

The man's leg snaps, as he's thrown into the wall as well...

He falls in a sickening slump next to his father.

Jennifer and Jess cringe at the damage they are doing to these people. They are just innocent victims.

Regent sees the woman and the two men down, his heart hardens, and he is back in his days during the planar wars...kill or be killed..but he's looking at a little girl..he lifts an open hand and points at the girl closing it swiftly.

The floorboards warp and twist and melt together before they form a prison that encircles the little girl's body whole, only her head remains outside of it.

Vitalis pauses and looks at the first one and pauses to think about this, "Uhmmm..." then attempts to do the same to the other victim.

The 2nd man..for just a moment seems in his right mind, but just as quickly as it came, it left, and he is back to looking like a zombie.

The man upstairs in his right mind, begins to scream as he holds his head, but abruptly his eyes glaze once more and he is once more taken.

The other man, looks down at Vitalis, and jumps down to confront him, arms outstretched to throttle Vitalis.

Although his arms are outstreched, he still misses and there is disappointment apparently still in his eyes.

Vitalis looks at the man, "This is like a bad zombie movie, really it is." as he recoils a bit from his zombie attacker.

Jennifer leaves her whip coiled around the girl. It's caught in the entangle as well. Dashing out into the hallway she tosses a silvery sphere the size of a golf ball up onto the landing where the 'zombies' are.

The 2 taken above struggle to see, they claw at their own eyes, digging them out, permenantly blinding themselves without knowning it, and yet they do not cry out in pain, and eventually they even stop digging at their own eyes, accepting their blindness.

Jessica closes up to whip range hoping they will be flashed by the grenade. But seeing what happens she flinches before lashing out aiming to grab one and throw into the other.

The two at the top of the stairs both go down in bone crunching heaps...

From outside the shooting stops...

All again is quiet in the building.

The heroes see..from the mouths of the fallen, large scorpionlike creatures crawling out of the mouths of the fallen. Each about the size of a rat, a stinger on its stubby tail, and it walks on at least 10 short legs. They are bloody red with 2 green pustules on their backs the pustules glow under the bloody mess that covers it.

Jennifer says, "Watch out for jumpers!"

Regent points at one and closes his fist again..

Vitalis looks at the cops, if any remain, "I'd shoot those things!"

The small target jumps to the side avoiding Matt's attempt to capture it.

No cops are inside, but you can hear them outside shouting at each other. Sirens are beginning to sound in the near distance.

Vitalis looks around and thinks how bizare. He pauses to think, "Uhmmm..."

The one that avoided Matt's trap runs at Vitalis and tries to sink it's stinger into Vitalis.

The scorpion-like creature sticks its stinger in Vitalis' leg, and pumps out poisons into Vitalis..to no effect.

Vitalis looks down and winces, "Eick... as a golden energy spews from the stab wound."

Regent shouts, "Vitalis are you ok!?"

Vitalis looks down and says, "Yes... I think so, what is this some form of poison?"

from the stabwound a green liquid seems to stream out of the wound.

Vitalis looks down and says, "Vermin!" and extends out his hand, attempting to drain the lifeforce out of it. (3d6 Drain Body)

Vitalis strikes and squeezes the lifeforce out of it, a golden energy being yanked out of the creature.

The two who escape the bodies of those upstairs rush at Jessica.

The tip of one of the scorpion's body hits jen's forcefield and green poison seeps from it running down the forcefield...

The last one, comes from out of the mothers mouth, and attempts to stab Jennifer..

And to the same effect as her sister, she is kept safe due to the forcefield.

Regent looks at the situation, everyone seems ok, "We need to get at least one alive! kill the rest!"

It seems unlikely, from the expressions on their faces, that Jenn and Jess are much concerned with the getting one alive part of Matt's stantement. Their hands moving with blinding speed as katana's are assemebled from sections of blade concealed in their jackets, and then japanese steel flashes as they attack.

Jennifer doesn't show satisfaction. This isn't a fight. It's eradication of vermin.

Regent notices he's missed and so has Jen now..these things are fast and dangerous, he floats up and sends down a burning flame to try to kill the other that runs near Vitalis.

The Second Scorpionthing curles up in a charred ball.

Vitalis realizes there is a possible creature outside near the fallen cop, then moves to head back outside. "Oh no.."

Vitalis glances out and transforms into a golden energy and shoots outside to the fallen cop.

The one injured cop is still on the ground the other two stand arguing, the pulped remains of a scorpion lie near their feet.

"I got it!"

"No I did!"

"Look just shut up the ambulance is going to be here soon!"

"Ah whatever..I got it.."

Vitalis shrugs and says, "Good, you got it."

Jennifer and jess move to the next closest target for swinging blades.

Jessica cuts through another of the creatures

From his floating position he sees the last of the scorpions, and he tries to hit it without hitting Jess.

Well..he said while /trying/ to not hit Jess and the scorpion dodges easily out of the way and Jess's nose is left sunburn by how close Matt's laser fire missed by.

says, "Sorry!"

Jessica says, "Spread the beam Matt. It doesn't matter if you catch me in it provided you fry the SOB."

Jennifer cuts at the one close to her. Jess halts for an instant to see if there are others and then moves to backup Jess

All the scorpions are dead..

Regent looks around at the carnage..."Vitalis!" he yells, "The victims still live!"

Jennifer flicks the ichor off the blade and searches for any others.

Vitalis looks around and says, "If you see anymore of those. shoot them." then nods and heads back to tend to the wounded.

Jessica says, "Vitalis, the little girl may still have one inside her."

Vitalis reaches out and tends to their wounds. He looks at one, and concentrates, invoking his full power, he restores their bodies back. (transform)

One by one, slowly they return..the taken, for the first time in recorded history, the taken are returned.

Vitalis looks over at the little girl and attempts to detect anymore foreign life forces.

In the girl 2 life forces live, hers and the parasite's

Vitalis nods and says, "It still dwells in her."

Vitalis pauses and says, "I may be able to get it out alive."

Vitalis places one of his hands on the head of the little girl, the other, he places above her mouth, he

concentrates and a golden light extends into the girls mouth, attempting to grab and yank the scorpion out. (Use TK fine manip, to pull it out.)

The scorpion-thing comes out bloody..the girl's eyes roll back into her head, as blood begins to pour out of her mouth and nose.

Vitalis concentrates and attempts to quickly heal her.

The girl slumps...but lives.

Skysabre soars overhead with some urgency, descending towards the scene of action.

Vitalis concentrates and moves the scorpion away and in the air, far from doing any damage. "Someone find something to hold this thing in."

Outside the building are 2 cops a third is lying on teh ground..with out an arm, his arm lies a few feet away..torn off

Regent opens the frige and gets the Mayo jar, he washes it out and opens it for Vitalis to dump it in.

Skysabre strides towards the officers. "I am Air Commander Skysabre. You will allow me to pass."

Vitalis nods and says, "Punch small holes in the top, it may need to breath, not sure."

The Officers nod, "Yer a Meta..go ahead.." the sound of the sirens are close now..

Skysabre doesn't bother to correct the officers, instead moving to enter the scene.

Regent nods, and begins to punch small holes in it when it stabs upwards..

Matt almost drops the Jar as he's stabbed in the finger, his hand goes numb for a moment before returning to normal.."Ow..crap.." green ichor drips from the wound.

Regent falls to one knee...the Jar..goes bouncing on the floor.

Vitalis shakes his head, "Let me do it.."

Skysabre tries to stop the jar with its foot once it enters the door. "I see you have had some success."

Vitalis nods and says, "Just stick it in the jar.."

Regent groans and shakes his head..."..not...fun..." his aura fades to a thin glow..

Jennifer grabs at Vitalis. "Help him." she says pointing at Matt.

"No." Skysabre replies to Regent, bending ver to pick up the jar, eyeing the Taker. "Its toxin is rather potent. I have informed the authorities. I hope that the losses here were minimal."

Vitalis extends his hand and touches Regent, a golden light spreads across the body, as he detoxifies Regent.

Vitalis looks to Skysabre, "I have restored them as best I can, I want to check them all out at the hospital, and observations."

Regent says weakly, "what about the other cop..the..other apartment?"

Vitalis looks at Regent and says, "Will someone help bring these wounded out, an ambulance is comingsoon." then he checks on the wounded, and returns to check on the cop outside.

"My function is primarily as messenger." Skysabre replies to Vitalis as it carefully sets the jar down. "What measures you take against this horde is entirely up to you."

Regent takes's Jen's hand, the sirens are right outside and cops and med droids start to come in, helping the injured.."We need to go make sure upstairs is clear." he says clearing weakened.

Vitalis glances over at Skysabre, "So that would be no you aren't going to help the injured?" then shakes his head.

The twins look at Matt concerned, but begin to help those who were injured, as she was the one who injured..all of them, they feel some responsibility to help them.

says, "Lets go upstairs...."

Skysabre looks at the medical droids swarming the area. "I have no datatracks on human first aid. I will leave that to the constructs most capable." It nods to Matt. "That would be prudent. I have recommended to the authorities that this entire district, perhaps this entire city be quarantined immediately."

Regent is weak..but begins to make it up the stairs. "Lets go..Vitalis we will need you if there are any more taken."

Vitalis say, "Oh, just give me a call."

Skysabre follows Matt, switching its optics to infrared to better detect hiding Takers.

Regent nods and continues upstairs..he heads for the apartment on the left..and as he enters he sees the hole in the wall..then he see's the other cop..he's been torn in two, his head at a strange angle, and his entrails on the ground where he was ripped in two.

Vitalis directs the med droids to assist the wounded, then requests samples to be taken of the dead scorpions.

Regent has to hold back from gagging..as he turns away from the gruesome site.

Skysabre kneels next to the dead cop, examining his head for evidence of Taker possession.

"Did the Takers manage to secure any metahumans that you saw?" Skysabre asks Regent, still examining the cop.

Regent walks on weak legs holding on to the railing for a moment to regain his composure..."..Skysabre.." he says weakly, "Lets get into this other apartment." the apartment on the right, who's door is closed. "cover me."

Regent shakes his head, "But all the taken had inhuman strength."

Skysabre nods and rises, maintaining infrared as it moves forward with Regent.

Regent takes several deep breaths, his aura gainins strength with each one, and he blows the door door in with a huge gust of wind, from inside, a scream of a young boy is heard and Matt Rushes in, hands glowing..pulsating with power.

"I didn't do it! I just found them, I didn't steal them! I promise, they were crawling next to my bed! I grabbed it and put it in my spare aquairium!

Skysabre refrains from revealing its armaments, but it follows Matt into the breach, scanning around the area. It settles on the boy. "The authorities are on the street below. You should go to them."

Regent's hands continue to glow, And he says, "Get out of here boy..its not safe. Where are your parents?"

"Um..Sir they're working they work at the atomic grill.

"Did you speak to them before they left?" Skysabre asks.

Vitalis decides to head upstairs, after the med droids take away the wounded.

Regent nods, "Its best you go and settle with the police.."

The boy looks at Skysabre and shakes his head, "No..they were gone bfore I got home..its like that almost everyday."

Skysabre nods to boy. "Tell us where the aquarium is and then leave."

Regent points to the otherside of the room where 3 of the takers are in an aquarium..looking like nothing more than some kind of strange pet.

The boy runs downstairs..

Skysabre walks towards the aquarium, peering inside. "The invasion is rather advanced. The city should be quarantined."

Regent nods, "You have told the authorities?

Skysabre nods. "That is why I did not accompany you to Harrisburg."

Regent nods. "These need to be taken in, and we need to look at the rest of the building."

Skysabre nods. "All of my functions are secondary to this task. It is not in our interest to allow Earth to fall to the Takers, but intervention may not be possible."

Regent nods.."Do what you can.."

Vitalis finally reaches the room where Skysabre is, "Oh more of them... dreadful buggers, full parasitic

infestation of the human brain. Luckily I can heal the damage they do." then pauses, "A full biological study of the creature may allow us to find a treatment for the toxin, or a targetted response to their eradication."

"They are merely the tip of the iceberg." Skysabre replies to Vitalis. "The foot soldiers of a deeper and more insidious threat."

Vitalis looks to Skysabre, "Alien invasion, wonderful." then heads back to his work, "More damage and destruction."

"Very likely." Skysabre admits. "It will be difficult to track down the Queen and its warriors. But the infestation will not be ended until they are dealt with."

Vitalis nods and says, "There is a queen, we'll need to find out how the communicate, then we can use it to track the queen."

"You must speak on behalf of a quarantine." Skysabre replies. "For now the infestation is on the city level. It cannot be allowed to spread further."
