(Nov 13 2055) Barbara sits at her anchor desk, looking solemn. "Constituents, family, and friends were shocked to hear of the brutal murder of Denise Vinoski, a local alderwoman, outside City Hall last night."
Cut to an interview with a security guard, identified in a caption as Bruce Wingo: "Yeah, I found the body on rounds this morning. She was in the parking garage, on her way home, when I guess some sicko stuck her with, I dunno, a spear or something... there was blood everywhere. I dunno why anyone would wanna hurt Ms. Vinoski, she was a nice lady. Whoever did this was a real sicko, I tell ya."
Cut to stock footage of Camus, and Barbara's voiceover: "Police Chief Clarissa Camus was unavailable for interview, but had this to say in a press release: 'We are all shocked by this brutal crime, and assure the friends and family of Denise Vinoski that we will find whoever did this and bring them to justice. In the meantime, we are assigning an extra police detail in the City Hall area to protect late-night workers.'
Cut back to Barbara: "This reporter has discovered that the security systems that supposedly monitor the City Hall parking garage failed unaccountable right as the murder occurred. Whether this was due to tampering or negligent maintenance remains to be seen. What is certain is that Colonial Bay has lost a valued public servant. We will continue to bring you the news as it arrives." She continues, "It also remains to be seen whether the murder will be an issue during the Colonial Bay Mayoral debates, which will be broadcast this Wednesday at 4pm live from the Civic Center on Colonial Heights."
(This is part of the Mayor Plot. +legworks to Asylum. The Debates will be run Wednesday 4PM Game Time.)
