Vicki Martin's CAPES TV show today focuses on the controversial super hero team known as Starguard Gamma. Vicki and the cameras catch up to two members of Starguard at a recent investigation at the Art Museum. Vicki Martin is shown at the front of the Art Museum on Main Street. She is one of the many reporters trying to get some words from Hephet. This is what the hero starts off saying:

"Greetings members of the esteemed fourth estate. As the newest member of Starguard, I would be overjoyed to speak to you about the mighty climatic battle that took place this day as our brave members prevented an irreplaceable alien artifact from falling into the hands of an ancient and powerful supervillain with vast mental powers. An individual I prefer to refer as the vile 'Defacer', a being whose soul is so twisted, whose mind has been so strained by suffering, that he is actually pained by the very visions of grace and beauty that warm the hearts and souls of our fine citizens. Sadly, not all the artwork in the museum was spared the ravages of this psychotic villain, but most of the works can still be repaired. I must warn any who would seek to interview this supervillain that his mental powers are legendary and there is a real danger that you could be manipulated against your will to provide distorted propaganda on his behalf, despite all protective measures." Vicki Martin is then shown asking Hephet, "Why did Starguard destroy so much of the artwork in the Museum?" To this Hephet replies while shaking his head sadly, "The horror with dealing with such a monster... The fiend actually siezed control of several small school girls to assist in his crimes and serve as a living shield to protect his own hide. Thankfully, we were able to rescue the little tots without a single one suffering an injury. Should we be blamed for putting the lives of innocent children first? Well your viewers will have to make that decision for themselves."

Martin continues to press questions, "And who are you, the new member of Starguard?" Hephet answers by standing up straight, with a flourish, and twelve metallic tentacles extend out to his sides to catch all available light. He raises his right hand, two fingers pointed to the upper right in his best staged pose, "I am Hephet, Bringer of a Brighter Future. Master of Technology and humble servant of the good honest citizens of this fair city."

At this time the Starguard Guards arrive and push reporters back and haul Hephet back in for other things. Next, Vicki Martin finds Steel with Joanna and Sally. Vicki Martin tries to talk to her but the armored heroine just tells her no comment. Steel is seen leaving the scene with two girls.

Vicki Martin reports, "So as we can see, Starguard chooses the most reckless of heroes, who endangers innocent children in their mission to catch a single villain. And even in that task they have caused the city of over 12 million dollars in damages at the Art Museum. Where is Random Factor, the SG Gamma leader in all of this? Of course he has vanished into thin air. Will Starguard continue to use disjointed heroes with flowery language to for their tasks? Only time will tell."

The news follows reporting of Starguard capturing the villain known as Sigil...
