Last night's weekly meeting of the Quark and Boson Antiquarian Book Society at the Little Fields School erupted into chaos when a guest suddenly immolated and attacked Mr. Hiram Tompson, one of the members of the club. The guest, a young girl who is believed to have the name Rachal Kinamen, punched Mr. Tompson with flaming fists moments after another guest collapsed mysteriously. Adding to the ensuing panic and confusion the classroom where the meeting was taking place was enveloped in an impenetrable darkness a few seconds after Mr. Tompson was punched.

By the time the city police arrived on the scene in response to several calls from the book club members the only people remaining in the meeting room were the guests attending the club meeting that night, Rachel Kinamen, a youth named Xander and a man named Jack, and also an unconscious Hiram Tompson who was attired in the robes of a dark magician. A police spokesperson confirmed that Hiram Tompson is being held in custody but declined to give any further details.
