This newspaper can now reveal that the heroes Fortitude, Sekhmet, Wolfe and Taro apprehended the villains engaging in a bombing campaign against Colonial Bay City last Friday night. The information about the capture was withheld from publication until today by request of the police department to allow the villains to be transported to a secure location outside of the city prior to the release of press reports.
The villains involved in the bombing campaign turned out to be members of the Wolfguard organisation, believed to be based in Germany, and infamous for a number of assassinations of prominent political figures in Europe. The reason for the bombing campaign remains unclear but the possibility of a drugs connection seems likely since one bombing was of an illegal drugs laboratory and the villains killed several people connected with the drugs underworld before they were captured.
It appears that the heroes carried out their own investigation of the bombings and had discovered enough to be already on the scene when the villains went to an arranged meeting with a supplier of explosives on Friday night at the Old Prison on Sandy Bottom Island. The structural damage caused to the prison building is mute testament to the ferocity of the combat between the villains and the heroes, with one wall on the perimeter of the prison exercise yard displaying damage penetrating nearly two inches into the solid stone. Congratulations to the heroes who have freed the city from the threat of these bombings.
