Thursday, April 14, 2055: Best of the Best: Event III, Survival at the Coliseum, off Route 9.
It was a definite matter of survival at the third leg of the Best of the Best Competition. Even though the sponsors worked hard to getting everything to work smoothly, things went awry on the last of the three events. Spectators, fans, and enthusiasts witnessed the competitors show off their spectacular powers in the Max Damage contest won by Syphon. The Capture the Flag competition was captured by Justicar, and Princess Jundarra knocked out the competition in the Ninja Knockout.
The Max Damage contest featured the competitors maximizing their damage potential against a slab of Questonite donated by Optimization Inc. The Capture the Flag race featured the racers braving rubber pellets, laser beams, and mental disruption rays as they dashed past a 100 meter distance to capture their flag. Finally, the Ninja Knockout showcased the contestants fighting ability as they battled out with robot ninjas.
The Results of the contests are as follows:

Capture the Flag: 1) Justicar 2) Princess Jundarra 3) Syphon, Flare (Tie) 4) Blindside 5) Jolt
Ninja Knockout: 1) Princess Jundarra 2) Syphon 3) Justicar, Blindside, (Tie) 4) Flare 5) Jolt
The winner of the Survival Competition came out to be Justicar and Princess Jundarra. Syphon was second and Blindside came in Third. A tie breaker was not issued because of what happened in the final event.
SABATOGE? Halfway through the Ninja Knockout, the Judges started signalling with their red flags. However it was not known what the problem was until all the robot ninjas started attacking Syphon only. Fortunately, Syphon survived, absorbing much of the attacking causing him to radiate like a high powered LED. Princess Jundarra continued to help by slashing at the robot ninjas. Justicar used his chains to smash through the control deck to determine the cause of the malfunction. The spectators got a scare when Blindside blasted down the attenae above the audience, but Coyote was on the scene! Coyote and Justicar brought the attanae down safely and no one was injured. Tornado Bill (member of the Green) and three Coliseum personal were found unconscious at the control deck. It seems that someone has sabotaged the system and directed the robots to attack Syphon. The judges decided that a tie breaker was appropriate at the time and awarded the double first place finish.
After three events, the overall scores are: Justicar (6), Princess Jundarra (6), Syphon (5), Blindside (3), Sequoia (1). Depending on how the contestants do at the final event, there could be a possible 3 way tie for first place!
Make sure to have a tag-team partner for the final leg of the Best of the Best Competition, Thursday, April 21st, 2055 at the Coliseum. A Grand Champion will be crowned!
