There has been a mass escape at the Chinese superprison, authorities admitted yesterday. Although the Chinese government has been tight-lipped about the incident, it appears that many or even most of the prisoners eluded their captors. The facility, the location of which remains a secret, had until now a security record second only to that of Serenity. It is not yet known what caused so massive a failure. Beijing has denied suggestions that the breakout was assisted by foreign agents attempt to free political prisoners. China maintains that it has the matter in hand, and has refused any foreign assistance in recapturing the escapees.
