Weekend Business News:
The Dow Jones Industrial and NASDAQ closed on highs for the weekend. The stock market which had been down, suddenly surged on a bevy of announcements from several companies. Lawrence Waterman, CEO of Electrotech, announced on Thursday that the company has aquired new patents for energy circuitry. These patents will allow for production of next generation electronic devices and analysts report that this give give Electrotech a large advantage over its competitors.
Also on the rise is Zudares Lazertag Inc. They have announced that the "Hydro-Tag" line of products will be launched in Spring. Zeal Zudares announced that they will also have a new line of products to enhance the current Lazertag industry around Christmas time.
While these two companies had the highest gains of the week, financialists also saw Imperial Mechanics, Biogen, and Helicore's stocks rise. The surprise company of the week was Covington International. Earnings have been strong for Covington International after picking up contracts previously held by Electrotech to supply Starguard and United Earth facilities.
