Porthole (the name comes from a childish misunderstanding of 'Portal' as '[tele]port-hole') is one of the metahuman children gathered by Auntie Rotter.
Contents |
Description
A boy of about nine, likely of Malaysian descent (or something like that), but generally unremarkable of appearance and dress.
Origin
Unknown, though he may be a "possible meta" reported missing in Kuala Lumpur in 2053.
Powers
Portal is a teleporter; he opens disks which are gates to other places. He is known to be able to take half a dozen people about a third of a kilometer in one go, to teleport things at range, and to reach his hands through a gate to touch things at a distance. He appears to be lacking in offensive powers, though he has developed a trick of teleporting a stone to a great height, letting it drop to build up momentum, then teleporting it again so it strikes someone.
Personality
Porthole is the most level-headed and considerate of Auntie's Children, though he is still young and certainly capable of rash and antisocial behavior, especially when influenced by Spitball or Trick.
Relations
Porthole is best friends with Spitball, and together they are the effective leaders of Auntie's Children, for which Doll resents him. He has a mostly-friendly rivalry with Trick. Rainbow regards him as a sort of big brother
History
Porthole seems to be acting as leader of Auntie's Children since Auntie Rotter's arrest, and may be instrumental in deciding whether they go to Lord Markham's School for Talented Children.
