Description
Looking like a cross between a woman and a jellyfish, Stinger stands five and half feet tall, with an average build. Her body is translucent, and it appears to be mostly composed of water held together by humanoid membrane. Instead of hair, dark tendrils extend from her scalp, falling halfway down her back.
Background
Stinger, also known as Helena Margaritis, a Greek national and marine biologist. According to her file she was studying pollution due to nanite runoff from industrial plants. While investigating an industrial plant, she was confronted by security guards trying to hide the company's illegal nanite dumping. In fleeing, she was accidentally exposed to the nanites in the plant's run-off, which merged her physiology with that of the jelly fish living there. Her new body tends to dry out -- she must be submerged in water at least once a day. Heat and fire both tend to dry out her physiology. She is wanted for a number of past acts of eco-terrorism and she's worked with Decibel in the past.
Powers
Stinger's name come from that the poisonous stingers that she can place on a victim with a single touch. Also, she can alter the translucency of her body, becoming nearly invisible at will. Her form is malleable and she can also squeeze through tight spaces.
Personality
Stinger sees herself as a champion of the environment. Mostly she tries to limit her actions to punishing those that she sees as guilty, but is willing to accept injuring innocents as a necessary cost. Recently, she's also adapted a stance again the alien influence that she sees from Starguard.
Relations
Stinger is an eco-terrorist and maintains ties with the Green. She's worked with Decibel before and the two are friends and loyal to one another.
History
Stinger's first appearance was a member of the Allied Champions of Earth when they attacked Starguard as part of the ACE Returns plot. She was captured in a force bubble by Entropy. She currently remains in custody.
