Sword Dancer is a loose English translation of a nickname, Rjyhdjhe Chjehzzgo, given to Kihzra in her native land, Ahm Brunof, which appears to be on a parallel Earth. Her full true name is Kihzra zge Pfarokof Jungrejhe Ezhgjugho Jhorbaghof Ahjum Brunof zgyzge Brunof Qakedof Ksahrzosktsahkof ("Kihzra, daughter of Pfarok and Jungre, from the city of Jhorbagh in Ahm Brunof, descendant of King Brun Sorcererbane"), but most people find "Kihzra" hard enough to pronounce. Kihzra is a dancer (after her mother) and a swordswoman (after her father), and combines the two for a unique fighting style. Though her attitudes are often quite alien, she seems to have fallen on the side of the heroes in Colonial Bay.

Description

As Sword Dancer: Kihzra is a woman in her early twenties, 5'9" in height, with a lithe, athletic, and aesthetic figure. Her eyes are blue and her flowing hair orange. She bears herself in a confident manner, while being alway light on her feet.

These things alone might make her stand out, but not as much as the fact that she's wearing a bikini of mail, and little else: a pair of sandals with straps wrapped up her calves, earrings, a necklace, and some intricate golden armbands. Strapped over her shoulder, if not in her hand, is a long, curved sword.

As Kihzra: Kihzra is a woman in her early twenties, 5'9" in height, with a lithe, athletic, and aesthetic figure. Her eyes are blue and her flowing hair orange. She bears herself in a confident manner, while being alway light on her feet.

She generally wears some sort of short, tight top and shorts, or sometimes a skirt, sandals, earrings, a necklace, and some intricate golden armbands. She carries a long cylindrical bag over her shoulder.

Origin

Kihzra's orgin is a bit unclear, largely because she's presumably the only person around from her world, and until recently her English hasn't been good enough to explain. She appears to be from a parallel Earth, seemingly from a relatively low-technology culture but one in which there is magic, or at least is believed to be. She has mentioned that on her father's side her family are swordsmen back to "Brun President and Sorcerer-Killer", and that her mother's family and dancers back many generations. Both her parents are dead.

She's also implied that her being in this world is something to do with a sorcerer named Ghravvruhs who killed her father and his tribe (her mother's death seems to have been from another cause). She seems determined to get back home and seek revenge on the sorcerer.

(Kihzra does not know her date of birth beyond year and season, but for purposes of keeping track of her age it is November 5th, 2032.)

Powers

It's not exactly clear if Kihzra has any true superpowers. To be sure, she's an extremely graceful athlete and superb swordswoman, capable of making a sword dance about her with a speed an accuracy to be wondered at, but normal humans sometimes seem to be able to reach "metahuman" levels of ability with enough training. That said, she managed to learn, with Eleven's help, to deflect bullets with her sword with only a couple of week's training, which suggests she's not quite a normal human. For that matter, her habit of walking around in skimpy clothing even in cold weather suggests she's a little more hardy than most people.

Personality

Kihzra is cautious, but confident and determined, even grimly so. She aspires to being a hero in the model of her legendary ancestor Brun, though the suspicious scepticism which is a so important to survival in her homeland is ingrained. Though normally serious, at times she lets a more playful side come through.

Kihzra mistrusts any "sorcery", including anything that shouldn't work by physical laws as she understand them, which includes most high tech ("teknorjhih"); she is having some difficulty getting used to this earth, physically and culturally. She generally has a preference for traditional methods and material, and tends to eschew (not to mention break) machinery. She's generally wary of anyone she doesn't know personally to be honorable, too.

Relations

Kihzra doesn't seem to have formed any close friendships in Colonial Bay, though she seems eager to help out heroes as need be. Early on she was closest to Fate and Dancing Coyote, who had the means to speak to her, and she seemed to get along fairly well with Eleven, too, but these connections have faded somewhat since she moved to her own apartment. She and the sorcerer Ghravvruhs appear to be sworn enemies.

History

Kihzra appeared in the middle of a street in Colonial Bay in late May, 2056. Despite some intial difficulties (chiefly not speaking any known language) she managed, with the help of various heroes, to get on her feet. She has taken a job as a dancer at The Fallen Angel, a private club adjoining Serafino's restaurant in Colonial Bay's yacht club, and lives in an attic apartment above a restaurant in west Ming Street.

Language

Kihzra spoke only her native language when she first arrived in Colonial Bay, but she now speaks enough English to get by, if with a thick accent.
