Description

This man stands about 6 feet tall, and probably weighs about 230 lbs...and looks very muscular, like someone from the cover of 'Muscle and Fitness' magazine. He looks fairly young, like he's around nineteen or twenty years old. He's wearing white leather running shoes, and a skin tight costume that covers the same area as a t-shirt and shorts. It goes to the bicep and mid-thigh. The costume is blue, with a large yellow 'T' on the left side of the chest. His short hair is jet black, and it's styled well, looking quite sharp. His face is picturesque, his bright blue eyes that seem to burn with a certain intensity that is hard to describe. He's a very good looking individual...with that sort of GQ look to him.

Origin

Johnathan Vasilikos grew up in a family of Greek immigrants in New York City. He was a skinny kid...and constantly picked on until about the age of 13, when puberty hit. That's when his mutant powers kicked in. And that's the turning point in his life. He was able to put a stop to the bullies he had to deal with...and at the same time, protected the other students who needed protection. And amazingly for someone his age, it didn't go to his head. Well, not in the sense that one might expect. Normally, one might expect someone with this level of power to become a bully themselves. But Johnathan had a firm grounding in right and wrong from his family life...so that turned out to not be an issue. Instead, he had already become fascinated with the myths of Greece. And in searching for a reason that he existed, he struck upon what he felt was the only possible explanation. He must be a Titan from myth.

He decided he needed to continue with his charade as a human, though...otherwise, there might be problems with the government. So, he has kept the name Johnathan for use with dealings with the government. But with others, he asks to be called 'Talos'. While that's actually the name of a living bronze statue from myth, and not that of a titan, he didn't want to offend any other titans that were alive by picking their name by accident. So, he went with the safe name...one of a living inanimate object.

He tended to be avoided for the most part through his later school years. Mainly because others found him so...weird. That didn't stop him from getting dates, being a charismatic and good looking guy, however. But...it did tend to keep him from getting second dates.

He took to acting while in school, and landed a bit part in a low budget film. This translated to a job doing stunt work after college. He's now taking a break from his work, and hoping to look for a base of operations to bring about his new 'Greek Age of Glory' that he invisions.

Powers

His powers are simple. He's incredibly strong and resilient, and able to leap long distances. He's not superhumanly fast, though, which makes it tough for him to keep up with his opponents.

Personality

Incredibly overconfident. He can handle any opponent. Clearly. It doesn't matter how big that opponent is...they'll lose in the end. In general, he tends to be a bit of a showboat, drawing attention to himself...and he likes talking to the press. When it comes to dealing with the later gods or demigods in Greece, after the Titans...well, he'd be at first confrontational. Especially with a Zeus or a Hercules (who messed with Atlas). But in the end, he knows they're kindred souls, and perhaps they can work together. But not before he tries to pound them a bit, and test their mettle.

His immediate goals are to become rich and famous...and he's chosen to do this by becoming a 'hero'. After all...people like Random Factor seem to get all the women. Or people like Lorelei are on the cover of magazines all the time. That's his short term goal. Long term, he'd like to bring about a second set of 'glory days' for Greek culture...where the gods are worshiped again. Or at least are respected.

Talos is...stable, but delusional. Or perhaps he just doesn't really understand his situation. He's a mutant, but due to his fascination with Greek mythology as he was growing up, he became fixated on the idea of the titans, and believes that he's actually one of them. He also had to deal with a lot of bullies when he was quite young, so as a result, he tends to fly off the handle a bit when an innocent person is severely injured...as the memories flood back.

Relations

He's managed to cut himself off from his family for the most part, after gaining some measure of fame. He doesn't think his parents were REALLY his parents. They must have just been watching over him for his return. He has a soft spot for them, but not like a son should.

Enemies

Talos is indeed a mutant. And one that the Next Generation would love to study, if they were to get their hands on him.
