Totem Spirits plane

(Note: While inspired thematically by various Native American religious traditions about totem animals, this writeup is not in any way true to any of them. No offense is intended.)

This is a divine dimension, populated by a pantheon of nature-themed spirit entities. These entities generally adopt the aspect of various animals - Coyote, Bear, Raven, Deer, etc. -- although the exact relationship between the spirits and their related animals is not well understood.

One group of such spirits is known as the Spirits of Life. Another such group is known as Those Who Sit in Shadow, who oppose the Spirits of Life.

Although both groups are extremely powerful, they are bound by various complicated arrangements not to battle one another directly and not to directly intervene in events on Earth. Instead, they work through various constructs and mortal agents.
