Description
In Costume: Covered beneath a cloak-like cape and a hood, this figure's details are impossible to make out beyond that she is female, and she is a bit short, standing around five feet tall; her build is a bit on the thin side. She's chosen to conceal everything about herself with a black cloth mask beneath her hood which has a pair of eye-shapes that seem to change and shift to probably show a limited version of her facial expressions. Blue and black are favored, most of the suit she wears is black, with a navy blue band around the waist, navy blue gloves, boots, and the cape as well. The eye-shapes on the cloth covering her face are dark red.
Otherwise:
A human teen girl, though with one glaring feature which makes her stand out quite a lot: Bright blue hair, which is long and has a few braids carefully woven into it. The rest of her features are decidedly not abnormal, and her Chinese heritage is evident in her face and stature. She stands at a short five feet, two inches and looks like she weighs less than she should.
Origin
Fist's abilities stem from her training. She does not have the kind of super powers many associate with super heroes, but instead has command over her chi energy, using it to heal, to better communicate and to slightly disrupt that of others.
Powers
Fist is trained exceedingly well to be a phenomenal martial artist. She has honed her reflexes and toned her body to reach degrees that few humans could hope for. She has Chi-based powers that allow her to correct problems in others or herself, temporarily disrupt others in a decidedly nonlethal manner and bridge a connection from her own mind to someone else's. Her toughness is simply her willingness to ignore pain in the face of doing what she must.
Personality
Fist is a gentle girl, given a difficult life and as a result striving to improve it for others around her. She is not willing to even allow others to come into danger, and she is willing to sacrifice herself if it means she can prevent someone from dying. Physical rather than verbal, she does not try to gesture in order for others to get a point she is trying to make. She acts, demonstrating by example. While others might find her habits unusual, she has been learning lately to tone down how 'loud' her movements are when she is probing for reaction with her fist.
History
Fist was abandoned as an infant, because she could make no sound. When Lin Mo (a master of an ancient and remote Chinese monastary) found her, she was very near death. At first he was concerned over how quiet she was, but over time grew used to the girl's silence. Lin Mo was a master of many different forms of Kung Fu, and he taught the girl he named Xing-Liu a particular style that emulated the wind. As it was one of the few means she had to express herself, Xing-Liu strove to excel. It seemed every day she would impress her sifu with how far she could push herself forward. Happiest when she was in motion, Xing-Liu sometimes seemed to fly. Beyond motion, Xing-Liu could express herself through music. Favoring the flute, she learned to produce music through it that was not really intended for that instrument.
When she was fourteen years old, Xing-Liu lost her sifu to a dark man who seemed to take Lin Mo's very essence and keep it within himself. The self-named Soul Thief was caught by surprise when Xing-Liu attacked him in retribution, but she soon found she was outmatched. So she ran. For hours, she was chased by the somewhat slower dark man, who found her spirit intriguing and desired to make it part of himself. The chase lasted for days, until Xing-Liu managed to evade him by boarding a train and hiding, entering a China port town she never really learned the name of before stowing away on a freighter.
Xing-Liu's arrival in San Francisco marked the start of her new life. Understanding only a few words of English at the time, it took her a long time to do anything resembling fitting in. Easy to find friends, but hard to find anyone who could understand her on a satisfactory level, she took to wandering. A year and a half later, she had made her way to Colonial Bay. There, she had found herself in a place that was filled with people who had the kinds of extraordinary abilities she had really only heard about. Soon she was considered to be among them, as a selfless defender.
Over time, Xing-Liu has learned a number of tricks involving chi, the most special of which being her ability to heal. A crude form of communication was also discovered thanks to the help of a friend's mentor, and she has even developed a form of disruption.
She is Fist, the calm eye of the storm that continuously ravages the city.
